About the Team:

Are you passionate about gameplay development and eager to use your programming skills to create fun and engaging experiences? Insomniac Games is looking for a Gameplay Programming Intern who is excited to learn all aspects of gameplay development and pursue a career in this field.

As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of gameplay elements while being mentored by senior members of our Gameplay Programming team. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, sharpen your skills, and build valuable connections within the gaming industry.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work on breakable and interactive objects, AI polish, stats, bonus features, trophies, visual effects, and bug tracking and fixing.
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to gameplay development throughout the production process.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a BS/BSE in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields such as Physics or Math with programming experience.
  • Projected to graduate by Spring 2026.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ is required.
  • Ideal candidates are energetic, self-motivated, creative, responsible, and passionate about video games and programming.

Eligibility:

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
  • Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
