ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

We are recruiting for a Solutions Architect to join our team. In this newly created position, you will lead the design, integration, and development of our SleepSync™ Patient Management platform and Patient Mobile applications to ensure a seamless, secure, and user-friendly experience for clinicians and patients. Working alongside other highly skilled architects and engineers, you will lead detailed technical discussions, facilitate trade-off analysis, and guide strategic decision-making from a technical perspective.

 

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE 

  • Work with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Digital Product Management, Engineering, Quality and Regulatory Affairs to translate high-level business requirements into robust cloud and mobile-based technical solutions.
  • Define and document architectural principles, including best practices for cloud computing, microservices, and API-driven designs, to guide development and ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Facilitate technical discussions, trade-off analyses, and decision-making sessions; provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and engineering groups.
  • Work across multiple functional, vendor, and partner teams (data, security, infrastructure, development, etc.) to ensure all aspects of the solution architecture are captured, defined, and communicated.
  • Develop and implement integration strategies to create a seamless user experience across platforms.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and third-party solutions, and recommend innovations or proof-of-concept projects that enhance digital capabilities and drive business outcomes.
  • Ensure solutions comply with internal policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, GDPR).
  • Participate in and lead architecture review sessions, maintain detailed architectural diagrams, technical documentation, design history files, and guidelines, and oversee the evaluation and selection of technology standards.
  • Collaborate with both Software Architects (focusing on detailed technical aspects) and Digital Products Enterprise Architects (ensuring broader integration and governance).
  • Monitor solution performance, scalability, and security; conduct regular assessments to identify technical debt and legacy issues; and support development and DevOps teams with architectural guidance and troubleshooting.
  • Support defining the technical roadmap in collaboration with digital leaders, ensuring that our solutions adhere to architecture governance and standards.
  • Develop, disclose, and support the patenting of innovative technology and solutions.

 

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of work experience in software development in .NET, C#, C, Swift, Python or other languages
  • Prior experience in solution architecture, application architecture or system integration role in a SaaS environment/SaaS product offering
  • Experience in designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and monitoring scalable and secure solutions using diverse technologies, especially native Cloud services (Azure/AWS)
  • Thorough understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices
  • Ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clear understanding and effective collaboration across teams

 

Preferred:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Proven track record designing and delivering integrated digital solutions, preferably in healthcare or regulated digital product environments
  • Previous experience delivering customer-facing SaaS and/or digital products
  • Previous experience designing solutions for clinician portals, mobile healthcare applications, or integrated patient management systems for customer-facing products
  • Experience with software architectural designs (n-Tire, Microservice, etc.) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and their application in solution design
  • Hands-on experience with modern integration patterns, cloud technologies, and mobile application development practices
  • Strong proficiency in API design, middleware integration, and data exchange protocols
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Understanding of software and/or firmware development and integration
  • Understanding of usability engineering and human-centered design standards (e.g., IEC 62366) and integration of them into the product development process
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory and security requirements in medical device and/or healthcare environments
  • Experience with industry standards for medical devices such as IEC 62304, AAMI TIR-45, IEC 13485, etc

 

The salary for this position will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.   

Salary

$130,700 - $196,100 USD
