POSITION SUMMARY
The Traveling Field Clinical Representative provides expert clinical and technical support for Inspire therapy across multiple geographic regions. This position requires extensive travel, including multiweek or multi-month assignments, to support procedural excellence, clinical education, and care pathway adoption at customer sites regionally.
This role partners with field clinical and sales teams, as well as cross‑functional partners, to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes while supporting the regional and national expansion of Inspire therapy. #LI-Remote
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS & ASSIGNMENT STRUCTURE
- This is a designated travel role requiring 75–100% travel, often including overnight stays, consecutive travel weeks, and short notice scheduling based on clinical need.
- Travel assignments may include:
- Short-term rotations: 1–4 weeks
- Medium-term rotations: 1–3 months
- Long-term rotations: 3–12 months
- Assignment location, duration, and schedule will be communicated in advance whenever possible; adjustments may occur based on business priorities.
- All travel will follow company guidelines for transportation, lodging, meal reimbursement, and schedule planning.
OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE
- Provide expert technical support during Inspire airway exams, implant procedures, device activations, and care pathway follow-ups across multiple locations.
- Partner with Field Clinical Trainers to support complex cases and advanced troubleshooting in diverse hospital environments.
- Maintain all required credentials and hospital access privileges in each assigned geography
Care Pathway Adoption & Therapy Success
- Support consistent clinical adoption of the Inspire care pathway at new and existing accounts within assigned travel rotations.
- Conduct post-training follow-ups to reinforce best practices and clinical proficiency.
- Deliver ongoing clinical support to ensure therapy success and high patient satisfaction.
Education, Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Provide structured training, in-services, and ongoing education for provider teams across assigned travel sites.
- Present peer reviewed scientific and clinical information to customers and sales partners.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of clinical publications, advancements in therapy, and scientific evidence.
Operational Excellence & Documentation
- Complete all required SleepSync training and ensure accurate data entry for referred and treated patients.
- Document all clinical activities including procedures, activations, device registrations, and education sessions.
- Support regional and national education initiatives with technical expertise while on travel rotation.
Customer Engagement & Ecosystem Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical stakeholders at each assignment location.
- Assist with patient referral completion and ecosystem referral flow to support patient access.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and reimbursement teams to align clinical
WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field preferred.
Experience
- 2+ years of related clinical, healthcare, or medical device experience
OR Bachelor's degree + 1+ year applicable Inspire experience
OR Associate’s degree/professional certification + 5+ years clinical or medical device experience - Experience supporting implantable medical devices, including intraoperative and follow-up activities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex patient pathways with high attention to detail.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and ability to travel extensively (air and ground).
- Ability to manage frequent schedule changes, tight timelines, and diverse clinical environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to travel (including overnights as needed) primarily within the home territory, with periodic travel across the continental U.S. as business needs require.

The salary for this position will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
Salary
$100,000 - $130,000 USD
