About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Director of Program Management to join our team and lead complex cross-departmental programs and projects in Taiwan. You will work closely with product management, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, US-based program management and other key areas of the business to ensure exceptional end-to-end planning, effective and scalable execution and superior delivery of identified projects across our business. 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Alignment & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Ensure all programs and projects align with, and directly support, Inspiren’s business objectives.
    • Serve as the key liaison between our US-based headquarters and our manufacturing partners and teams in Taiwan, ensuring alignment, communication, and the successful delivery of our products on time and within budget. 
    • Foster cross-functional excellence, effectively and continuously charging toward shared understanding and goals.
    • Identify trends, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to execute improvement initiatives to remove bottlenecks and increase cross departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Ensure we have clear processes, standards, accountabilities and key performance indicators in place for program success.
  • End-to-End Program Ownership:
    • Collaborate closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers in Taiwan to ensure alignment on program goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
    • Develop comprehensive plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Drive the successful execution of programs and relevant projects from initiation to closure, tracking progress and interdependencies along the way. 
    • Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to improve program management at Inspiren.

Experience: 

    • 5+ years of experience managing collaborative global NPD (new product development) projects composed of teams of US-based companies and Asian JDM (joint design manufacturing) suppliers.
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in program management, project management or a related role, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
    • Demonstrated experience with JDM partners driving NPD programs through the development and NPI (new product introduction) processes, including product verification and regulatory compliance, into mass production (in the health tech, medical devices, consumer electronics, or similar regulated industry).
    • 5+ years expertise in the full lifecycle of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and PDM (Product Data Management) systems, including vendor evaluation, strategic implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration in consumer hardware environments. 
    • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional programs and projects on time and within budget.
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, Project Management, Engineering or related field.
    • PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certification preferred

Technical Expertise: 

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
    • Strong understanding of the health technology ecosystem including SDLC (software development lifecycle) best practices.
    • Expertise in NPD of connected consumer electronics or IoT internet of things.
    • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including DFMA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly), tooling design, and part qualification, to manage product development through complex manufacturing stages into mass production.
    • Must possess knowledge of industry best practices to configure PLM/PDM systems aligned with business priorities, driving excellent cross-functional collaboration when identifying requirements and implementing solutions.
    • Knowledge of various program management methodologies and project management tools.

Communication & Adaptability: 

    • Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to changing priorities. 
    • Start-up experience is a plus.
