The Business Development team at Instabase is the growth engine driving our future. As we continue to scale our presence across the Fortune 500 (>$1bn Revenue) segment, we’re looking for a hands-on, strategic Business Development Manager to lead, coach, and inspire our team of BDRs. This person will be a key leader in our New York City office, helping us build a high-performing local presence while shaping the future of our go-to-market strategy. This role is critical in helping us push the boundaries of what’s possible in enterprise sales. You will help shape pipeline strategy, build team culture, and develop the next generation of sales talent.

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll manage and mentor a team of BDRs focused on outbound prospecting and pipeline generation. You’ll work closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to shape go-to-market motions, optimize performance, and ensure we’re reaching the right decision-makers at the right time.

What you'll do:

  • Hire, onboard, and lead a team of high-performing Business Development Representatives
  • Drive strategic outbound campaigns across key verticals to expand our presence in the Fortune 500
  • Coach team members on best practices for prospecting, messaging, and qualification
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to align on ICP, lead scoring, and opportunity handoff
  • Analyze team performance metrics and implement scalable processes for growth
  • Lead weekly pipeline reviews, team meetings, and ongoing training sessions
  • Create an environment of continuous learning, experimentation, and high performance
  • Stay close to the market and share feedback from the field to improve messaging and go-to-market strategy

About you:

  • 2–4 years of experience managing or mentoring early-career sellers, ideally in a SaaS or enterprise tech environment
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling pipeline through outbound sales motions
  • A coach at heart who is energized by helping others grow and succeed
  • Deep understanding of the enterprise buyer journey and how to navigate white space
  • Highly collaborative, with strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Driven, resourceful, and adaptable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Passionate about people development, career growth, and team building
  • Technically curious with a desire to understand and represent innovative products
  • Experience with Salesforce and modern sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)

The OTE range for this role is $180,000 to $200,000 + equity, and benefits. The actual pay may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
