Our IT Team is core to the growth of our organisation. This team works on a wide range of challenges, including providing support to over 250 employees in a professional manner - teams are distributed across North America, EMEA and Asia.

As Head of IT, you’ll play a key role in helping to define the IT strategy of Instabase as we scale globally. You’ll work closely with a number of teams, including, but not limited to Engineering, GTM and HR. As we scale you will play a key role in building new processes and continuously finding new ways to improve our infrastructure, security and systems. 

What you’ll do

  • Developing the organization’s IT vision and translating it into actionable goals
  • Directing the sourcing and implementation of new software and hardware
  • Formulating and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans
  • Coordinating IT activities to ensure the availability of network services and data
  • Identifying future challenges in the IT landscape and developing mitigation strategies
  • Overseeing departmental budgeting and forecasting within the organisation
  • Directing IT staff recruitment and directly supervising employees
  • Identifying security vulnerabilities and eliminating them with strategic solutions
  • IT support for offices including networking, conferencing, and other technical solutions
  • Vendor management and budgeting for IT and Security tools and services

About you:

  • You have 5+ years of experience serving as a Head of IT with a strong track record of leading globally distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
  • You’ve successfully defined and executed global IT strategies in fast-paced, hyper-growth environments, aligning technology initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • You have experience recruiting, mentoring, and managing high-performing IT teams across various international regions, fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
  • You are adept at managing outsourced IT service providers and vendor relationships, ensuring performance, compliance, and cost-efficiency while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • You have led the selection, deployment, and lifecycle management of IT systems and infrastructure that support a company's growth, security, and scalability needs.
  • You ensure robust, up-to-date IT policies and procedures are in place promoting governance, risk management, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • You actively monitor and evaluate emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact and recommending adoption where they can deliver strategic value or improve operational efficiency.
CompensationThe salary range for this role is $180,400 - $208,000 + bonus, equity, and benefits. The actual pay may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
