Associate Partner (Anglophone Africa)

Nairobi

Our team

A core contributing factor to the influence Instiglio has had thus far includes our collaborative, highly skilled and diverse team. We are a team of 100+ people, representing 15+ nationalities, with offices in Colombia, Kenya, Morocco, Mauritius and the USA. Our team of practitioners has extensive development and government experience, including previous roles in international development banks, management consulting, national governments, multilateral agencies, INGOs and academia.

Our Impact Journey

Instiglio’s mission is to unlock the full impact potential of governments and donors to deliver results. We orchestrate system transformations to realize impact strategies and drive improved outcomes. We support our partners in integrating results-based approaches into delivery systems and practices, with the goal of enhancing the effectiveness of public and development finance. Over the last 12 years, we have influenced practices, capabilities, and policy frameworks of governments and aid institutions in over 300 countries aimed at improving the outcomes of development programs. We work across sectors including education, livelihoods, workforce development, health, water, energy, agriculture, finance, gender, and climate, shaping the deployment of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Some of our important milestones include advising the design and implementation of the world’s first Outcomes Fund in Uganda and Kenya to improve poverty alleviation results; the launch of performance-based contracts to catalyze employment outcomes in Morocco; structuring a $60 million results-based transfer system for local school districts in Peru, and facilitating the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s effective use of RBF through a four-year strategic partnership. We are likewise playing a key role in driving new and effective climate finance instruments, such as pioneering the role of climate pull finance for clean tech with the UK Government and supporting the World Bank’s emerging use of Results-based Climate Finance.
