Role Description
The Media Sales Director will lead strategic sales efforts to drive revenue growth across key accounts, leveraging deep knowledge of the insurance and media industries. This role demands a proactive "hunter and closer" who thrives on discovering new opportunities, securing new partnerships, and cultivating long-term growth. You will play a pivotal role in adding new partners to our portfolio, identifying and unlocking revenue opportunities, and expanding relationships with both existing and prospective clients. The ideal candidate has a successful track record of sourcing opportunities, growing them into high-value relationships, and consistently exceeding revenue targets.

Requirements

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in media sales with proven success in revenue growth.
  • Background in both advertiser and agency-side sales, ideally within the insurance and/or InsurTech industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of the digital advertising marketplace, including programmatic, video, and custom content strategies.
  • A demonstrated track record of consultative selling, with the ability to discover and develop new business opportunities.
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and grow both new and existing partner relationships.

Skills:

  • Exceptional prospecting skills with a "hunter" mentality to uncover and secure new revenue streams.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with a focus on long-term client engagement and growth.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including the ability to deliver impactful presentations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proactive, consultative sales approach with the ability to anticipate market trends and client needs.
  • A deep understanding of advertising metrics and their business implications.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Aggressively identify and pursue new partnership opportunities, adding high-value partners to our portfolio.
  • Maintain and grow revenue across our suite of media properties, focusing on P&C insurance carriers.
  • Develop comprehensive digital strategies tailored to client needs, including programmatic, video, and custom content offerings.
  • Build robust account plans at the start of each fiscal year and conduct regular account planning meetings to align cross-functional teams.
  • Unlock new revenue streams within key accounts and expand existing relationships to drive incremental growth.
  • Provide creative, client-specific strategies based on the evolving digital advertising landscape.
  • Evangelize our media products, proactively keeping clients informed about new offerings and product updates.
  • Present campaign insights and performance reports to clients, aligning results with business goals.
