Insurity’s Next Business Analyst II
Insurity is looking for a Business Analyst II to join our India office and help deliver customer-focused software solutions. This role independently analyzes and documents increasingly complex business, functional, and non-functional requirements, partners with stakeholders through testing and training, and contributes to system design and configuration. This role specializes in analyzing and documenting requirements for insurance forms, translating regulatory and business needs into clear, testable solutions.The ideal candidate brings strong business analysis and US P&C Insurance experience, communicates clearly, and can serve as a subject matter expert while mentoring other team members.
What Our Business Analyst II Will Do
- Analyze Forms requirements and support the definition, documentation, and testing of form-related changes in partnership with product, development, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Independently develop, analyze, and document requirements including business, functional, and non-functional requirements for increasingly complex efforts, with minimal oversight and direction.
- Develop customer-focused documentation for software solutions, including wireframes, use cases, business rules, and related materials.
- Perform and support testing and training activities.
- Perform and coordinate work estimation.
- Support automation and quality improvements.
- Participate in system design and configuration activities.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the assigned functional area.
- Provide mentorship to team members and help strengthen business analysis practices through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current on industry trends, standards, and best practices through relevant publications, articles, blogs, and other learning resources.
Who We’re Looking For
- Recommended: 3 years of business analysis experience and one year of industry experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Recommended: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- US P&C Insurance industry experience, or completion of required Insurity Academy courses within three months.
- Experience engaging with technical and business stakeholders in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
- Strong understanding of business analysis practices, including process analysis, design, and management; change management; meeting facilitation and the ability to present information clearly and articulately.
- Proficient analytical and critical-thinking skills, written and oral communication, time management, prioritization, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and evolving environment
- Strong understanding of writing SQL queries and database design concepts
- Nice to have: Related insurance certifications, such as CPCU, CBAP, AINS or a line-of-business-specific certification.
- Ability to complete related insurance certification(s) within two years, as applicable.
- Ability to travel approximately 0–25% as needed.
