We are looking for an exceptional Senior Research Associate to serve as the key driver of our in vivo pharmacology studies.
About the Role
We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Research Associate to join us at an exciting moment in our growth. In this hands-on role, you'll be a core member of our in vivo team, maintaining animal colonies and driving key experiments that advance our drug discovery pipeline. You'll have the unique opportunity to be among the first hires of a groundbreaking startup and make meaningful contributions to curing age-related diseases.

You will
- Execute key experiments involving animal models of aging and age-related disease.
- Maintain animal colonies and vivarium facilities in a responsive, day-to-day manner, including bedding changes and routine husbandry.
- Perform hands-on animal handling tasks, including injections and other procedural work for in vivo studies.
- Communicate scientific results clearly to internal team members and contribute to high-quality experimental records.
- Collaborate with a small, fast-moving team to help plan and execute new experiments as our pipeline evolves.
You're a good fit if you have (required)
- Bachelor and/or Master degree in bioengineering, biology, chemistry, or a related field with 2-4 years of experience in a biotech vivarium setting.
- Detail-oriented mindset with hands-on experience working with mice and/or small animals in a laboratory setting.
- Strong planning and execution experiments, with the creativity to contribute to experimental design.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly as part of a small, collaborative team.
Bonus Points For
- Experience with animal mating, immunohistology, and tissue processing.
- Background in chemical biology or drug discovery.
- Startup-ready mindset: agile, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Location & Logistics
- This role will be primarily located in San Carlos, CA, with the option to spend time at our main offices at Redwood LIFE in Redwood City, CA.
