Sr. Software Engineer

This is Hybrid role (3 days in office /2 days remote)
Sr. Software Engineer (Greenwich, CT) (Hybrid: Remote work permitted 2 days/week) (Multiple positions)
Design and develop highly scalable, secure and efficient application services that support critical functions of securities brokerage firm. Gather and analyze business requirements and formulate technical design documents. Conduct complete redesign of legacy systems, including refactoring Oracle DB schemas and PL/SQL code to add new functionalities and improve performance. Creating well thought-out implementation plans including database design for new applications. Design and develop microservices and REST APIs. Create and implement new distributed software architecture to improve design efficiency and optimization.
Hybrid: Remote work permitted 2 days/week. Must work from Greenwich, CT office 3 days/week.
Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience as a Sr. Software Engineer or related position developing with Java. In the alternative, bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience as a Sr. Software Engineer or related position developing with Java.
Three (3) years of experience with each: (1) developing applications with Java, JEE and JDBC; (2) PL/SQL to execute procedures, functions and packages in Oracle and DB2 RDBMS; (3) MVC, Boot modules, dependency injection, and aspect-oriented programming; (4) implementing microservices using Spring Boot; (5) building RESTful APIs, including HTTP methods, status codes, and security protocols; (6) deploying and managing applications on JBoss and Tomcat servers; (7) Python and shell scripting; (8) HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Spring, Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Gerrit.
