Are you our next Verbal Identity Fellow?
We are looking for future industry superstars to join our growing studio. The Verbal Identity Fellow will think like a “verbal sponge.” A positive, vocal, hard-working recent graduate to join our studio, with energy to bounce from project to project as you support verbalists and are exposed to all aspects of the design process.
Our Fellow roles are full-time, fully integrated positions. They are onboarded and assigned a manager, and are resourced to client work. It is set up as a 3 month contract to start, paid hourly, with the possibility of extending and/or converting to a salaried employee position.
The role
We're looking for a creative & and strategic individual who has the versatility to connect the dots between details and big-picture thinking.
Ideally, you’re someone who can quickly make sense of complex information, distilling it down to the essential components that are needed to develop ownable names, create naming strategies, and turn strategy into storytelling.
We’d love someone who is excited about everything to do with words. Someone who knows how to write well, and how to think and talk about how their writing fits into the broader world of strategy and design. Someone who loves to conduct research & analyze word choices and who wants to work on brands from any and every industry, from telecommunications to eyewear.
Your Day To Day
The Role
- Understand clients’ businesses and use that understanding to create effective work
- Support project leads in performing research, generating creative content (names, taglines, etc.), and building presentations
- Contribute to projects in all verbal practices: naming, voice, messaging, and content strategy, and content creation
- Work with strategists, designers, client managers, and more to prepare client presentations
What We're Looking For
- 0 -1 year of professional experience; branding or marketing agency experience is a plus (Internships count!)
- Study/experience/degree in a related field; we have a broad definition of "related," including any verbal-focused or writing-intensive field like linguistics, creative writing, advertising, English literature, philosophy etc.
- Strong verbal, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; PowerPoint is a plus
- Knowledge of foreign languages a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively to find insights and develop new ideas
- Ability to consistently deliver quality creative
- Critical thinking, especially the ability to critique and discuss your own work and the work of others
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Strong work ethic
NOTE: This is a hybrid role and requires you to be in our NYC office 3 days per week
Compensation
- Hourly rate of $30/hour
- This range represents the low and high end of the hourly salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of Interbrand in the United States. Rates will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience; training; associated responsibilities; other business and organizational needs. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
