Referral Bonus Program Overview & Eligibility

Intercom’s External Referral Bonus programme offers a one-time referral payment of €5,000 to people unaffiliated with Intercom to help Intercom hire top AI/Machine Learning talent in our R&D headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. Referrals are valid for 6 months from the date of submission. Referrers must be individuals (not a company entity) and be over 18 years of age.

Immediate family members of current Intercom employees and employees of recruiting agencies are not eligible.  At any time during this program, Referrer may not be located, reside in, or be a national or citizen of any country subject to embargoes or sanctions by the U.S. or any countries where Intercom operates.

Candidate Criteria

• The candidate cannot be a current or former Intercom employee.
• Candidates cannot have applied directly to Intercom, have been submitted as a referral by someone else within the past 12 months or are an interview candidate with us at the time of your referral.
• If more than one person has referred a Candidate, and that referral meets the payment criteria of the Referral Bonus, then the first person in time to submit a valid referral form will be entitled to the Referral Bonus.

How to submit a referral candidate

• We will only accept referrals via this form. Referrals submitted any other way, or that do not include all of the required information or are not properly identified will NOT be eligible for this Program.
• The Intercom Recruiting team will review the submission and contact you to confirm receipt of the referral. If the referred candidate is a match, we will contact them. The referred person must acknowledge that you referred them.
• We reserve the right to reject referred candidates at our sole discretion.
• By submitting a form you confirm that:
  • you have the necessary consent and authority to disclose the candidate information that you upload with your referral; 
  • in uploading such information you are not in breach of any confidentiality provisions concerning such candidate information and
  • you are not located in (or a national of) a country that is subject to a U.S. government export control embargo or economic sanctions.

Qualification for and payment of Referral Bonus

• Intercom shall pay eligible referrers a one-time external referral payment in the amount of €5,000.00 if:
  • the referral results in a successful regular full-time hire in our Dublin Machine Learning Team:
  • Successful Candidate acknowledges they were referred by you and know you personally
  • Candidate completes 90 days of continuous, active employment with Intercom
  • Candidate is actively employed by Intercom at the time the external referral bonus is to be paid.
• To receive payment, you will be required to onboard as a supplier in Coupa, our Accounts Payable platform. We will require your bank account and tax form details to be entered in Coupa, and you will need to submit a VAT invoice, if applicable, in order for us to make an electronic payment via ACH or wire transfer. If your bank does not accept payments in Euros, you will receive an equivalent amount translated to your country currency, based on an exchange rate selected by Intercom at the date of payment.
• Intercom reserves the right to withhold payment of the Referral Bonus, if making such payment would be a breach of Intercom’s obligations under any export control and/or economic sanctions and any relevant import laws and regulations of the United States and other applicable jurisdictions.
• You will be solely responsible and liable for paying appropriate local law taxes 

Additional Provisions

• The terms and conditions of this programme are subject to change or termination at any time without notice and at Intercom’s sole discretion.
• You agree that Intercom’s total and sole liability to you under this programme is limited to direct damages up to €5,000.  Intercom shall have no liability to You arising out or related to this programme for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.
• These terms and conditions are governed by Irish Law and any claim under this programme will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
• By submitting a referral, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined by this program.
