Where we need help

Asia Operations is a highly dynamic team supporting allbirds’ rapid expansion. In the Logistics role, you will support day to day operations and reporting for a  multi-tier distribution channel across international markets.  You will have the opportunity to develop key skills needed within a fast growing business. You will learn to create and prepare multiple reports and dashboards to manage the day-to-day transportation and report/follow up on all inventory positions within these channels. 

What does the job entail? 

  • Measure service levels and cost metrics for international ocean container and air freight shipping
  • Oversee transportation bookings with freight forwarders and approve shipping schedules to meet the target delivery date.

Day to day management working with origin vendors, service providers, destination logistics team and cross functional teams coordinating the movement of finished goods into the international network.

  • Capacity and space management - working closely with internal cross functional teams and external service providers to forward plan and secure/negotiate sufficient capacity so products can move to meet critical demand.
  • Support forecasting and projection of volume data to air/ocean forwarders and monitor changes
  • Developing new logistics solutions to mitigate risks (capacity challenges, service failures, ect...) and optimize speed & cost.
  • Support with onboarding vendors to freight forwarder platforms and administrate document transfer and shipping specification.
  • Proactive seeking to drive operational process enhancements and system optimization (GTN Nexus).
  • Work closely with the APAC Distributor Coordinator to manage the shipment coordination and weekly reporting to all Distributor Regions.
  • Monitor internal and external communication channels such as Gmail, Google Chat and Phone Calls to ensure immediate, proactive support to our key stakeholders
  • Ensure execution of daily processes with attention to detail through tracking, reporting and maintaining dashboards – troubleshoot problem items, and track orders to 100% accuracy.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly updates on KPI data to provide internal understanding of all aspects of operational supply chain performance.
  • Recognize and communicate opportunities to drive continuous improvement and assist in developing the tools, processes and capabilities across all functions to resolve. 
  • Establish and grow relationships with key internal and external partners to effectively complete assigned projects and tasks.
  • Partnering with the raw material team to validate and benchmark in region transportation solutions and cost for raw materials.
