The Role: Business Process Specialist
Reporting to the Manufacturing Business Process Manager the Business Process Specialist is responsible for our MRP system and internal business processes support manufacturing rooms in achieving successful planned production, capacity planning and inventory management.
The successful candidate will work with other cross-functional support teams to ensure configuration and set up satisfies all manufacturing needs, such as cost accounting, capacity planning, forecasting staffing requirements, and other business needs. In addition, the Business Process Specialist may host meetings with room production planners and inventory controllers to share and communicate best practices and provide support and training to new and existing staff.

What you do (responsibilities):
Reporting to the Manufacturing Business Process Manager, the Business Process Specialist will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of best practices in inventory management, production planning, labour scheduling and workforce planning in partnership with key stakeholders
- Support the team with streamlining and optimizing existing business systems, and processes to ensure efficient and seamless production
- Design and develop routes in AX, monitor how it flows through the system and room while collecting analytics and bringing forward solutions for any observed challenges
- Connect and collaborate with counterparts, demand planning, finance, IT, room managers and product development teams for cross functional project implementation and to ensure manufacturing needs are met
- Support continuous improvement throughout the factories related to product manufacturing processes to increase throughput, reduce costs and maximize systems for transparency in planning and inventory
- Execute strategies on process improvements for functional areas, including updating and implementing SOPs as required
- Provide training and support for the manufacturing rooms with daily use of AX capacity planning
- Support the rooms with kaizen projects and provide process data that is required
- Work collaboratively with team members to resolves operational issues and improve business processes
- Update reporting metrics on established KPI metrics
- Create and maintain a healthy team atmosphere to resolve issues positively and creatively
- Support on ad hoc projects as required
Who you are (qualifications):
Required:
- Previous experience with an ERP or MRP system / Capacity Planning
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and Microsoft AX
- Self-motivated and customer focused
- Proficiency in database setup and management
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Accountable for results, strives to meet and exceed expectations
- Time management and follow-up skills; highly organized and detail oriented
- Effective team player and leader; approachable and supportive
- Open and adaptable to daily feedback on performance
- Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual and dependable
- Flexible to work occasional overtime
- Accustomed to working in highly seasonal business
Preferred:
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Improvement principles and programs
- 5 years experience working in Manufacturing
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in ERP system implementation and execution
- Previous experience with Manufacturing process routes
- Experience with line scheduling and inventory control work
