*Eligibility: Open to impacted Vancouver Staff who currently holds the Machine Operator L2 role or has held it in the past five years and has worked in at least one production room for a minimum of 3 holiday seasons.
The Role: Machine Operator Level 2
Machine Operator Level 2 is responsible for setting up, tearing down, cleaning, operating, preventative maintenance and performing minor service to various pieces of production machinery required within the Vancouver site. Reporting to the Room Manager, the Machine Operator Level 2 is responsible for the following RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand and demonstrate safe working practices and address any area of concern to Room Management when necessary
- Communicate with and train staff to follow machine SOPs
- Execute set-ups, adjustments, disassembly, routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of all machines used
- Perform production processes such as: packing, pouring, pressing, unmolding, glittering, wrapping, ribboning and labelling duties
- Set-up and stage materials, molds, and equipment needed for production purposes
- Carry out duties effectively and efficiently to positively impact KPIs (fulfillment, material variance, safety stock, etc.) and ensure agreed upon daily targets are achieved
- Perform general housekeeping and equipment maintenance duties
- Supports new or returning staff as required with onboarding, demonstrations of daily duties and responsibilities while ensuring safety and SOP guidelines are being followed
- Adhere to all Sustainability best practices (recycling, composting and waste management/reduction procedures)
- Understand the importance of and accurately count product inventory when required
- Support production related duties as required based on manufacturing demand
- Supports Fresh Production as needed, and aligns workforce planning with production needs to support Ballistics and Fresh
- Receive and apply feedback from various stakeholders within the business with the goal of producing the best quality possible
- Proactively shifts expertise to support all roles within the site, including covering absenteeism and production increase requirements as needed

- Current Lush Employee
- Currently open to only impacted Vancouver Staff
- Must currently hold or have held a Machine Operator L2 role within the last five years to apply
- Required to be a Machine Operator within one production rooms for at least three holiday seasons
