The Role: Lead Receiver
Availability: Full-time with an ability to work mornings or afternoons and occasional overtime, holidays, and weekends.
Reporting to the Room/Warehouse Manager, the Lead Receiver is responsible for organizing work flow and materials as well as providing leadership, and support to a team with the purpose of achieving the goals of the department. They must demonstrate leadership ability and collaborate with room management to ensure the room requirements are met. What you do (Responsibilities):
- Ensure safe working practices are being followed, remedy unsafe situations and address any areas of concern to Room Management when they arise
- Responsible for the verification of purchase order paperwork and receiving of all delivered goods in the system the same day they are delivered
- Ensure all incoming materials are being stocked in the appropriate locations and labelled when necessary
- Adhere to company and departmental policies and best practices for quality, cleanliness and health and safety
- Perform general physical activities, including but not limited to; loading, unloading, sorting and the moving of products and materials
- Pick, pack, box making and ship orders accurately and efficiently.
- Processing picklists from production rooms while ensuring accurate deliveries to manufacturing
- Communicating with drivers to ensure all orders are delivered to production rooms within 2 hour guaranteed delivery window.
- Operates a Forklift for manufacturing departments as required, in a safe manner.
- Ensure palletized goods are labelled correctly and being put in the appropriate locations in the steel
- Ensuring the receiving area, outside docks, and racking areas are organized and clean
- Flexibility to work at other Lush Distribution locations as needed
- Supports new or returning staff as required with onboarding, demonstrations of daily duties and responsibilities while ensuring safety and SOP guidelines are being followed.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and areas of the business, as well as independently with self-led initiatives
- Pick, Pack, Box making, and break build of TOs going to Vancouver
- Processing/Receiving of items into the department's inventory
- Time management of day between receiving, supporting picking and line work
Who you are (Qualifications):
Required:
- Current Lush employee
- Valid forklift certification
- Flexible to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
- Confident with basic mathematics, ability to count, including addition and subtraction
- Able to do physical work for 8-hour shifts, and lift 50 pounds
- Accustomed to working in a highly seasonal, high pressure environment
- Capable of physical activities such as standing or sitting for long durations, bending down, pulling and pushing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Demonstrated proficiency in AX (ERP) such as shipping or receiving PO’s and Transfer Orders
- Proven success identifying, prioritizing, and completing tasks
- Maintain a positive attitude and engaged in your work
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Open and adaptable to feedback on performance
- Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual and dependable
- Competency in English: reading, writing and speaking
- Work with Distribution Receiver to ensure efficiency and safe usage of shared bay doors
Preferred:
- Experience working in Goods-In or Distribution
- Experience working in Ballistics
- Experience working as a Seasonal Lead Receiver or Forklift Operator
- Previous Leadership experience
- Familiar with Employment Standards and Occupational Health and Safety legislation
