Job Overview
The Category Growth team serves as the Consumer portfolio growth engine within Category Management, improving category-level business performance across revenue, paid conversion, retention, and lifetime value by identifying the highest-value growth opportunities and driving cross-functional execution.
As a Senior Category Growth Manager, you will independently own high-priority business opportunities from diagnosis through measurable business outcomes. You'll analyze portfolio performance, prioritize the highest-impact opportunities, develop integrated growth strategies, and lead cross-functional teams across Product, Marketing, Content, Data, Finance, and Partner organizations to execute with rigor, remove blockers, and deliver measurable business impact.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex business problems, and is equally comfortable moving from deep analytical work to executive strategy discussions and hands-on cross-functional execution. As business priorities evolve, you will be expected to flex across initiatives, build repeatable operating mechanisms, and drive impact wherever the greatest opportunities exist.
Responsibilities

- Lead cross-functional initiatives across Product, Marketing, Content, Data, Finance, and Partner teams by influencing without direct authority and driving alignment around business priorities.
- Design and execute experiments, operating mechanisms, and performance reviews that accelerate learning and improve decision-making.
- Prioritize growth opportunities using business impact, implementation effort, timing, confidence, and strategic fit to maximize portfolio performance.
- Serve as a portfolio-level business owner, balancing short-term revenue opportunities with long-term category growth and learner value.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, growth, category management, product strategy, consulting, or a related function.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Marketing, Content, Analytics, or Commercial teams that resulted in measurable business outcomes.
- Experience using quantitative analysis to identify business opportunities, develop recommendations, and influence strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated history of leading ambiguous, multi-stakeholder initiatives from problem definition through implementation.
- Experience presenting recommendations and influencing senior stakeholders using data-driven business cases.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience designing operating mechanisms, business reviews, or scalable decision-making frameworks.
- Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities.
- Experience driving experimentation and translating learnings into repeatable business practices.
- Experience in consumer technology, e-commerce, marketplaces, subscriptions, digital media, or education technology.
