ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Director, Human Resources (Corporate) you will be a key member of the HR leadership team. You will use your HR expertise, strategic mindset and outstanding people skills to assist with change management, improve HR processes, introduce and implement strategies that measurably support business objectives and HR programs/functions for the organization.
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director of Human Resources to join our HR leadership team. In this critical role, you will play an instrumental part in shaping the future of our HR function by leading key strategic initiatives and driving process improvements across the organization. You will bring a blend of strategic foresight and hands-on expertise to design and implement a new Human Capital Management (HCM) system, while ensuring that HR practices and initiatives align with the company’s broader business goals. This position reports to the Vice President, Human Resources and will manage 3-5 direct reports. You will be able to have a significant impact in this highly visible role!
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Responsible for managing all existing and new HR systems including identifying key requirements and needs, and managing implementation process.
- Plan and direct the overall design, implementation, communication and administration of GILLIG Benefits including the development of new initiatives to establish competitive and cost-effective benefit plans.
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive reward strategies and programs to attract, reward, and retain top talent, aligning with organizational objectives and legal compliance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies and plans to ensure successful transitions and employee adoption
- Oversee all aspects of an organization's payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payments, compliance with regulations, and efficient processes.
- Build strong relationships with HR team, corporate leadership and employees
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law; applies this knowledge to ensure compliance and recommend changes in policy, practice, and resources to VP of HR.
- Oversee, motivate, support and manage the daily workflow of direct reports and area of responsibility
- Assist with employee relations and/or investigations in support of corporate and production HR business partners.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree Human Resources or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in human resources
- Minimum 4 years managing others
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
- Deep knowledge of HR functions (Operations, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, etc.)
- Demonstrated analytical skills, sense of curiosity, and effective problem-solving
- Proven project management and multi-tasking skills, including ability to create a manageable project plan, align a cross-functional team to meet goals and deadlines, and manage change effectively
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and HR technology applications
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with colleagues and executive leadership team
- Must be extremely organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
- Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others
- Thorough knowledge of HR related federal, state and local laws and regulations
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk and occasionally kneel or squat
- Limited travel may be required
- Standard start time: 6:00 AM (negotiable)
EXPECTED COMPENSATION
$75,000 - $275,000 / annual salary + bonus + premium benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
