Job Title: Senior Manager, Admissions and Enrolment
Term: Full-time, Indefinite (40 hours/week)
Department: Office of the Registrar
Reports to: Registrar
Direct Reports: Admissions and Enrolment Officers
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Expected Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually
Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Admissions and Enrolment is a leadership role within the Office of the Registrar and oversees the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of student records, admissions, enrolment policies and procedures. This Office, oversees the full student lifecycle from application through graduation, providing support for accessibility, academic progression, and regulatory compliance. The xxx leads the admissions and enrolment team to deliver a seamless and high-quality student/customer experience while maintaining operational efficiency and institutional standards. This position will oversee and lead the efficiencies and technical transformation of the functions within the office and will handle all data inquiries from senior management as they pertain to relevant student and registrarial data.
Key Accountabilities/ Duties:
1. Systems Leadership & Technical Transformation
- Lead the modernization of admissions, enrolment, and student records systems to reduce manual processes and enhance automation.
- Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of integrated digital solutions that strengthen data integrity, efficiency, and transparency.
- Champion the adoption of new technologies to streamline workflows, optimize user experience, and improve service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and institutional partners to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with strategic priorities.
- Identify process gaps and build sustainable, technology-enabled solutions that improve response time, reduce errors, and elevate customer service standards.
2. Student Records & Registration Management
- Oversee the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all student records across the student lifecycle.
- Ensure seamless registration processes for new and returning students through efficient system-driven workflows.
- Manage student progression, enrolment, and academic standing in alignment with institutional and regulatory policies.
3. Admissions & Enrolment Operations
- Oversee the end-to-end admissions and enrolment processes, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and a superior applicant experience.
- Supervise application review, offer management, deferrals, and First Letter of Admission (FLOA) issuance.
- Manage transfer credits, advanced standing, program withdrawals, scheduled breaks, and leaves of absence through robust, trackable systems.
4. Accessibility & Student Support
- Lead system-based coordination for accessibility accommodations to ensure timely and effective student support.
- Collaborate across departments to deliver consistent, confidential, and compliant accommodation processes.
5. Academic Coordination & Scheduling
- Direct the creation and maintenance of course schedules, sections, and academic timetables.
- Oversee student orientation and graduation processes with emphasis on system-led coordination and accuracy.
6. Data, Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain alignment with institutional, provincial, and federal regulations related to admissions and student records.
- Develop dashboards and data analytics to monitor enrolment trends, student progression, and operational efficiency.
- Provide insights and reports to senior leadership to inform planning and continuous improvement.
7. Communications & Stakeholder Liaison
- Foster transparent communication between Admissions, Recruitment, Finance, and Academic teams to ensure alignment on enrolment pipelines.
- Oversee the issuance of official documentation including transcripts, enrolment confirmations, and completion letters.
8. Grade Management & Appeals
- Collaborate with the Office of the Dean to manage grading workflows, changes, and academic appeals.
- Ensure timely and accurate grade processing through systemized checks and audit controls.
9. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and empower the Admissions and Enrolment team to deliver high performance through systems thinking and process ownership.
- Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence focused on continuous improvement and digital transformation.
- Collaborate institution-wide to align technical systems and operational practices with strategic goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Education, Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in higher education administration, preferably in admissions, registrar, enrolment management, or student services.
- Proven expertise in managing student information systems, enrolment workflows, and academic policy compliance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics and reporting, with the ability to interpret data to support strategic planning, process improvement, and decision-making.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of accessibility, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles in student support and institutional practices.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with experience preparing and presenting analytical reports and insights to inform senior decision-makers.
- RCIC (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant) will be a strong asset.

This position is based in a hybrid work arrangement, with employees working on-site four (4) days per week and the option to work remotely one (1) day per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come on-site as needed and are expected to reside in Ontario and within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
