Immigration Support Advisor
About the Role
As the Immigration Support Advisor, you will provide immigration guidance to prospective and current international students, supporting them throughout the admissions process and advising on temporary residence applications, study and work permits, and maintaining legal status in Canada in accordance with federal immigration regulations.
Success in this role requires strong knowledge of Canadian immigration legislation, exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret and apply immigration policies accurately while providing timely, professional, and student-focused support.

What You'll Do
- Support prospective international students throughout admissions and study permit applications.
- Provide timely, accurate immigration advice on temporary residence applications and general permanent residence pathways.
- Maintain knowledge of IBU programs, student services, international admission requirements, and academic policies.
- Interpret and apply relevant immigration regulations, procedures, and policies to student cases and complex inquiries.
- Stay current on IRPA, IRPR, and related regulatory changes to ensure compliance and maintain RCIC competency.
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, requiring in-person attendance as needed.
What You Bring/Who You Are
- University degree required with 3+ years of experience in immigration advising, preferably with students at the post-secondary level.
- Licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is required.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and interact with all individuals with integrity, empathy and sincerity.
- Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to manage stress and thrive in often demanding situations.
- Must be deadline-driven, goal-oriented and a problem solver.
- Proficient in standard Microsoft applications and productivity tools.
- Display professional work ethic and exemplary behavior while respecting provincial and federal regulations
