We are looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our efforts and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Co-op Student who will immediately contribute to the organization and the Sales team efforts. What you'll do:

As a Solutions Engineering Intern your key area of responsibility will be to develop solutions and documentation to support team initiatives.  These solutions may require the development of tools and/or processes, technical project or program management, data mining and analysis, etc. You will need to work closely with the Solutions Engineering teams and management, as well as communicate with other product or engineering departments as needed. 

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to quickly understand technical concepts.  In addition, the successful candidate will have The successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through completion. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.

The opportunity

  • 8 - 12 month work-term beginning September 2025.
  • Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact

  • Collaborate with the Solutions Engineering team to design and develop solutions that leverage Geotab’s ecosystem to our customer’s challenges. This includes creating proof-of-concept models, identifying key features and assessing potential impacts to customer requirements.
  • Support and maintain team solutions through further development, documentation or cross-team training.
  • Provide technical project management support as needed for team projects.
  • Prepare accurate and concise technical documentation, reports, and presentations related to sustainability initiatives and solution development. 
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of projects, including data collection, performance monitoring, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved within established timelines.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and industry standards. Identify opportunities for improvement in Geotab's sustainability solutions and propose innovative alternatives.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Currently enrolled in a Diploma/Degree specialization in Engineering, Systems Design, Management or related field preferred
  • 1+ years experience with data science tools, SQL (Google Big Query preferred).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JS, HTML, React & Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions
  • Strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements.
  • Ability to understand reasoning for project requirements.
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic and passion for technology and innovation.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Prior experience or exposure to Telematics, Connected Vehicle Technology, or related fields is a plus.
