We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a System Verification Intern who is a self-starter and has the ability to quickly understand complex concepts. What you'll do:
As a System Verification Intern your key area of responsibility will be to contribute to the launching of new products as well as working on updates to existing products. This role requires you to leverage relationships with internal engineering & product SMEs, coordinating with other Geotab teams, testing and research of new products, analyzing data, as well as maintaining accurate and detailed documentation. You will need to work closely with members of the Product Engineering and Product Delivery teams, assisting with the development of hardware, firmware and software test planning, execution and analysis.
To be successful in this role you will have strong communication and general engineering skills with an ability to identify needs, and develop effective solutions. In addition, the successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.
The opportunity
- 8 - 16 month work-term beginning September 2025.
- Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact
- Assist in designing and developing testing and verification strategies for new and existing products and programs.
- Collaborate with the System Verification members, Engineering, Product Management, Program Management and various other stakeholders to help ensure that hardware, firmware and software operate as per the product design and operational goals.
- Keep abreast of new technologies that are to be included in new and upcoming products.
- Attend all project meetings, maintain detailed meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
- Assist the System Verification Manager to help initiate and drive critical product validation testing.
- Support with and gather content for product process/test/result documentation.
- Assist with navigating through the product life-cycle for new product launches.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on improving process workflows.
- Work with various departments and stakeholders within the organization to achieve goals.
What you'll bring to the role
- Working towards a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related degree.
- Hands on hardware and/or firmware experience is an asset.
- Data analysis skills, including generating database queries (GBQ, SQL, etc.) and specifying or designing dashboards is an asset.
- Ability to maintain progress with little supervision.
- Strong time management skills.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with various stakeholders across the organization.
- Knowledge of G Suite for business (sheets, docs, slides) is preferred.
