Geotab is always looking for amazing people who are passionate about the telematics industry. We are currently seeking an Internal Audit & Risk Management Intern to assist with all facets of Geotab’s Internal Audit Function including risk assessments, audit testing and reporting. What you'll do:
As an internal audit intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in assessing and, supporting improvements to, the effectiveness of our organization's internal controls, risk management processes, and governance processes. In this role, you will assist with developing and executing audit programs including documenting business processes, identifying risks and controls, conducting audit testing procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will need to work closely with other members of the Internal Audit Team, Compliance team as well auditees.
To be successful in this role you will be a self-motivated individual who can work independently. You will also be a team player with excellent written and communication skills. In addition to strong technical skills, the successful candidate will be an analytical thinker and have excellent attention to detail. This internship offers a unique chance to develop essential skills in auditing, data analysis, problem-solving, and communication while contributing to the success of our organization.
The opportunity
- 12 - 16 month work-term, beginning September 2025
- Full-time, paid internship (Monday to Friday, 37.5hrs/week)

How you'll make an impact
- Assist in the planning of audit engagement including identification of scope and key stakeholders
- Document business processes including the identification of key risks and key controls
- Conduct audit testing including sample testing and data analytics
- Assist with audit reporting including drafting conclusions and recommendations
What you'll bring to the role
- Completing a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Experience with google platform or microsoft office
- Work experience, volunteer experience or course work with audit programs or data analysis is considered a major asset
- Experience bridging the gap between business and technology is considered an asset
- Experience with Data Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Big data skills are an asset
- Strong written and communication skills
