Geotab is seeking a Business Development Intern, Route Optimization who will organize sales activity, coordinate sales campaigns, create sales materials, and provide entry level demonstrations. What you'll do:
As a Business Development Intern, Route Optimization your key area of responsibility will be to organize sales activity, coordinate sales campaigns, create sales materials, and provide entry level demonstrations. You will need to work closely with other sales leaders, product, account advisors, and business analysts. This position will focus efforts on Geotab’s Routing Platform in order to drive sustainable financial growth and develop strong relationships with customers.
The opportunity
- 8-month work-term, beginning September 2025
- Full-time, paid internship (Monday to Friday, 37.5hrs/week)
- 1 position reporting to either the Oakville, ON, Canada office or the Atlanta, GA, United States office.

How you'll make an impact
- Monitor and update business development activity within associated tools
- Maintain a pipeline of activity through the development of partners, contracts, and resellers.
- Communicate with internal teams on sales activities related to Geotab Routing
- Provide basic guidance with Geotab Routing Software:
- Provide basic demos of the routing software to internal teams
- Assist Partner Account Managers (PAMs) & Resellers in opportunities and sales process
- Collaborate with internal product teams on roadmap, implementation plans, and training plans.
- Provide input on new business opportunities, competitive analysis, market trends, and business environment.
- Develop sales materials working with business analysts for specified customer opportunities
What you'll bring to the role
- Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Business, Commerce or a related field.
- Experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or related positions working directly with business customers is an asset.
- Experience leveraging customer success tools (i.e., Salesforce) an asset.
- Experience with APIs, reporting and/or business analysis is a plus
- Familiar with Tableau, Power BI, Superset, and/or other BI tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills, an effective multi-tasker.
- Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides.)
