Geotab is seeking a Learning Design Intern to support the administration of the Geotab Learning Management System (LMS) as well as the support, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of learning content, assets, and other resources used for instructional design. What you'll do:
As a Learning Design Intern your primary responsibility will be supporting the administration, enhancement, and maintenance of our Learning Management System (LMS). You'll actively collaborate with our Learning Design Team and other stakeholders to contribute to the creation, implementation, and delivery of learning content and resources. This internship provides an immersive experience in instructional design, LMS administration, and project management within a dynamic and supportive environment.
To be successful in this role you'll need to be proactive and detail-oriented, possessing strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Given the nature of the role, the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and adapt to new technologies is essential. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling them to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. Effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment will be crucial for success in this role.
The opportunity:
- 8 month work-term, beginning May 2026
- Full-time, paid internship (Monday to Friday, 37.5hrs/week)

How you'll make an impact:
- Support the efficient maintenance of all content within the LMS (MyLearning).
- Contribute to the enhancement of the UX for Geotabbers, managers, and partners.
- Learning Design Team support and development.
- Data reporting and analysis.
- Provides day-to-day LMS support; collaborates with hosting vendors.
- Researches, plans, coordinates, tests, and implements systems enhancements.
- Provides complex system and security administration, end-user technical support and problem solving, process flow documentation, and process change requests.
- Creates new and modifies existing complex configuration/reports to gather and report data.
- Troubleshoots moderately complex customer and system issues, including but not limited to error messages, login difficulties, access denials, data issues, and process failures.
- Develops, updates, and modifies tables to ensure data integrity and system stability, including but not limited to security and forms tables.
- Provides progress reports to inform management of project status.
- Maintains and updates processes for transferring data between LMS and HRIS systems.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Technical skills including understanding of directory, file structures, and systems.
- Advanced level computer experience, including skills in Google Suites.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel/Access, including the ability to build and run reports and to compare, manipulate, and analyze data (v-lookups, pivot tables, charts/tables/diagrams).
- Experience with Camtasia, Storyline, and Rise is a big asset.
- Coding experience with JAVA, SQL,HTML, CCS, GBQ and any other computer based software will be another great asset.
- Ability to identify problems, review information to develop and evaluate options, then implement solutions is essential.
- Knowledge of SCORM, AICC, and/or xAPI eLearning is an asset.
- Ability to manage time and adapt when priorities/plans change.
- Sense of deadline criticality and skills to multitask on several initiatives simultaneously.
