Manager, Clinical Healthcare Operations - Bilingual

What You’ll Do:
The Clinical Manager provides the leadership to promote interdisciplinary team engagement and continuous performance & process improvement. The Clinical Manager is responsible for designing, operationalizing, and monitoring workflows in collaboration with their peers. You will partner with clinical directors on assigned external payer stakeholders to deliver value-based care and an optimal patient experience. Additionally, the Clinical Manager will foster a culture of clinical excellence and quality, ensuring that all team members are aligned with best practices and high standards of care.
Essential Functions:
- Workflow Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to streamline clinical operations, reduce inefficiencies, and improve patient care processes. Develop and oversee initiatives to enhance productivity and resource utilization.
- Process Improvement: Lead continuous quality improvement projects, utilizing data analysis and performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement. Implement best practices and standardize workflows across clinical teams.
- Team Leadership: Provide direction, coaching, and mentorship to clinical supervisors and staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, ensuring team engagement and professional development.
- Performance Management: Monitor operational performance and provide constructive feedback and support to supervisors to help them achieve their performance targets.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal stakeholders and cross-functional team leaders to align on goals and achieve shared objectives. This may include participation on appropriate committees or subcommittees. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
- Quality Improvement: Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, implementing best practices and quality assurance measures to enhance patient care outcomes and satisfaction.
- Policy Maintenance and Governance: Maintain and own policies and work instructions associated with Clinical Healthcare Operations. Ensure these policies and work instructions are up-to-date, comprehensive, and in line with current regulations, standards, and operational workflows. Oversee the governance processes to ensure adherence to these policies across the organization.
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Partner and consult with legal to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA. Develop strategies to mitigate operational risks and ensure business continuity. This includes ensuring clinicians maintain state licensures and work within the bounds of their licensure scope.
- Talent Recruitment and Development: Partner with the talent acquisition team to hire new supervisors and clinicians. Train, and develop highly engaged, effective supervisors and interdisciplinary teams that live Interwell Health values.
The skills and qualifications you need:
Required
- 3+ years' experience as a people manager including the coaching and development of team members.
- 3+ years’ experience in the delivery of care to patients with CKD and ESKD OR other chronic disease management.
- Must hold an active, unrestricted clinical license in one of the following disciplines:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Social Worker (SW)
- Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Pharmacist (PharmD)
- Physician Assistant (PA)
- Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Must be bilingual with Spanish and English proficiency ***
- Must reside locally in Puerto Rico ***
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing, Social Work, Nutrition, Physician Assistant Studies, or Doctor of Pharmacy. An Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) will be considered.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work with cross-functional remote teams to achieve goals.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate team execution of processes and workflows.
- Strong ability to use data for performance improvement combined with resourcefulness, an agile mindset, and an aptitude for problem-solving.
