
Senior Epic Training Specialist - Clinical

We are seeking an experienced Epic Trainer with strong clinical expertise to join our Acumen Training team! Acumen, known for its advanced EHR and patient management solutions for chronic kidney disease, leverages the Acumen Epic Connect platform to drive value-based care through innovative tools and functionalities. The Senior Epic Training Specialist - Clinical delivers training and provides go-live support to providers and clinical staff on EpicCare Ambulatory and clinical workflows, including vascular access. This position requires expert knowledge of EpicCare Ambulatory and clinical workflows, along with a basic knowledge of Cadence/Prelude.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging and impactful training experiences for end users, informed by learner feedback and assessment results.
- Evaluate clinical training program materials and documentation to ensure they remain accurate, effective, and aligned with current practices.
- Partner with trainers and analysts to share knowledge, stay updated on system changes and workflows, and improve training materials.
- Collaborate with Clinical Instructional Designer (Principal Trainer) and Analysts (stakeholders and subject matter experts) for knowledge sharing and continued education on system changes, core workflows, and best practices and for continuous improvement of training materials
- Assist in creating and updating documentation, training scripts, and training videos.
- Present upcoming changes/functionality in upgrade webinars.
- Support the post go-live Customer Success team with clinical optimization training for end users after go-live.
- Lead clinical workflow demonstrations for sales or other areas of the company as needed
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree is required; a clinical or healthcare degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of related experience in healthcare or training; experience working in a physician office (or similar) setting interacting with providers and clinical staff strongly preferred
- Maintains a basic knowledge of MST build and Epic training environments, Cadence/Prelude, Media Manager, Acumen Rounder, and regulatory programs.
- Maintains expert knowledge of EpicCare Ambulatory application with Epic Ambulatory training or support experience.
- Knowledgeable in training best practices, go-live support, medical terminology and physician office workflows/processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exhibits diplomacy, patience, and attention to detail when conducting training with a wide range of customers, including management staff, medical assistants, nurses, mid-level providers (NP & PA), and physicians.
- Must be a critical/analytical thinker with the ability to troubleshoot workflow issues and lead workflow discussions
- Must be flexible and able to work non-standard business hours, including early mornings and evenings, to accommodate the training and go-live support schedule as required
- Ability to travel up to 10% as needed for onsite meetings and practice optimization visits
