Accounting and FP&A Senior Analyst

The Accounting and FP&A Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial planning and analysis activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is designed to support both the Accounting and FP&A functions, contributing to the efficiency of financial operations, strengthening reporting capabilities, and enhancing key business planning processes. The ideal candidate will bring proven technical experience in accounting, a solid understanding of financial reporting, and a proactive mindset for process optimization and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations & Reporting Excellence:
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Process invoices and payments for accounts payable while managing reconciliations for various accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial data to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports aligned with IFRS standards and local compliance requirements.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Perform the monthly variance analysis (Actuals vs Forecast vs Prior Month vs Budget) and the monthly pacing with all the different functions, both in terms of P&L and Cash.
- Assist in preparing monthly reports, ensuring insightful analyses for management decision-making.
- Support forecast and budget preparation processes, including the generation of the inputs uploaded to the company’s financial reporting system.
- Deliver driver-based financial analysis presentations to senior management.
Business Planning & Process Optimization:
- Support business planning deliverables, including forecast and budget, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Partner with local, regional, and global contacts to foster good working relationships across the organization.
- Identify and implement best practices for reporting enhancements, automation opportunities, and process efficiencies.
- Assist in improving financial workflows, collaborating with various teams to enhance cash management and reconciliation processes.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Experience:
- Proven experience in accounting and FP&A roles. Experience in a technology company or SaaS environment is a plus.
Skills/Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and FP&A processes.
- Proficiency and experience using any ERP system (NetSuite desirable).
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for financial modeling and reporting.
- Familiarity with financial audits and internal control frameworks (e.g., SOX compliance).
Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (B2 English level minimum required).
