Regional Sales Director, West

Do you want to join us in helping to rapidly and perpetually deliver antibody-based therapies that protect vulnerable people from the devastating consequences of circulating viral threats, beginning with SARS-CoV-2As a regional sales director at Invivyd, you will oversee the development of regional and territory business plans and be responsible for the operations and oversight of a team of Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) Key Account Managers(KAMs).      

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop a high performing team of SAMs and KAMs.  Build team capability for current and future needs.
  • Create a coaching culture and demonstrate situational leadership to maximize performance and development of each individual and deliver exceptional results for the team.
  • Set the tone and culture of the team, role model expectations and manage change by leading through transitions with inspiration and high engagement.
  • Oversee the execution of sales strategies to maximize results.
  • Lead and direct team a team of SAMs and KAMs to promote Invivyd products to targeted physicians and academic centers to achieve specific sales goals in compliance with Invivyd’ s policies and SOPs (set the “tone at the top”).
  • Support SAMs and KAMs in the acquisition, expansion, and retention of targeted business within the assigned area.
  • Full engagement with key accounts by developing and implementing strategies, participating in client discussions, and servicing the account.
  • Act as local liaison and collaborator (build consensus on area strategies and tactics) between the Sales organization and other corporate functions as necessary.
  • Manage and deploy resources (financial, field staff) to ensure achievement of objectives. Establish and manage area expense budgets; ensure appropriate and compliant return on investment.
  • Work with SAMs and KAMs on a consistent basis evaluating and supporting their sales presentations.
  • Provide training, coaching, follow-up and development of SAMs and KAMs in all phases of their work including career development fostering a culture of readiness, professionalism, compliance, and excellence.
  • Drive demand while aligning with long-term sales and profit objectives.
  • Drive team performance through team building, coaching, business planning, training, motivation and management. 

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from an accredited college/university.  Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years in the Biopharma industry
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical Sales Management
  • Experience in sales leadership managing & developing sales teams (in Account Selling, Specialty and/or Hematology/Oncology)
  • Diverse experience and exposure to Reimbursement, Buy-and-Bill, Specialty Pharmacies, IDNs, and Federal channels
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Strong understanding and experience with following the laws, regulations, and industry codes (e.g., the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals) that govern appropriate interactions with Healthcare Professionals and Healthcare Organizations

Preferred:

  • Proven record of accomplishment in leading a pharmaceutical sales team-strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in driving health system adoption of branded therapeutics- strongly preferred
  • Sales Training, Sales Operations, Marketing or project management experience a plus
  • Well versed in various therapeutic areas, contract sales organizations and life cycle management - Advanced
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape and payer dynamics - Advanced
  • Strong leadership, coaching and recruiting skills - Advanced
  • Strong presentation and communication skills - Advanced
  • Ability to adapt to evolving market conditions - Advanced
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement – Advanced
  • Inspires an atmosphere of engagement and ethical conduct- Advanced
