What you’ll do
- Design and implement security and compliance frameworks aligned with GDPR, SOC2, and internal policies.
- Lead security awareness initiatives and ensure company-wide training completion and enforcement.
- Collaborate with engineering and legal to bake security into processes and infrastructure.
- Manage security tools (e.g. vulnerability scanners, MDM platforms) and ensure proper configuration and usage.
- Run regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans; drive remediation efforts with relevant teams.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, documenting actions and improving response playbooks.
- Own access management systems (VPNs, Jira, SSO tools) and enforce least privilege principles.
- Maintain and update security and compliance documentation, procedures, and audit trails.
- Track and report on data usage, endpoint security, and hardware enrollment status across the organization.
- Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes (e.g. EU AI Act) and lead the implementation of new compliance frameworks as needed..
- Provide hands-on system administration support, especially around secure configurations and updates.
- Act as a point of leadership within the security and compliance domain, mentoring others and driving best practices.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a role involving compliance, cybersecurity, or system administration.
- Proven experience managing internal and external audits, including prep, execution, and follow-up.
- Hands-on experience with security tools like vulnerability scanners, MDM solutions, and endpoint protection.
- Familiarity with corporate IT policies and enforcement across multiple departments and device types.
- Experience managing user access, VPNs, and tools like Jira or similar platforms.
- Track record of responding to security incidents, documenting impact, and driving improvements.
- Proficient in administering systems across Mac, Windows, and Linux environments.
- Ability to manage hardware security, including device enrollment and lifecycle tracking.
- Available for hybrid work in Mountain View.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 - $220,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
