The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Deal & Commercial Operations to serve as the operational linchpin between our Go-To-Market (GTM) organization and deal desk governance. Reporting to the Strategic Pricing Director, you will execute commercial workflows within a structured pricing architecture. You will balance GTM speed with commercial risk mitigation, utilizing excellent commercial instincts to drive optimal outcomes for customers, Sales, and Finance. You will act as both an agile operational co-pilot for standard deals and a rigorous coordinator for complex, non-standard transactions. Your work will be central to our mission of building the world’s best quantum computers to solve the world’s most complex problems, transforming business, society, and the planet for the better.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate critical deal execution stages with Sales, balancing GTM speed with strict adherence to the commercial architecture established by the Strategic Pricing Director.
- Systematically execute a bifurcated deal framework—preventing process bloat by fast-tracking standard transactions, while orchestrating the full multi-stakeholder diligence and approval process for large, non-standard deals.
- Apply strong commercial instincts to navigate competing priorities between customers, sales velocity, and corporate margin preservation, ensuring outcomes align with approved financial thresholds.
- Coordinate counterparty diligence, secure verifiable payment terms, and enforce strict routing SLAs to ensure Legal executes trade compliance and export control sign-offs prior to contract execution.
- Actively coordinate term revisions and secure mandatory approvals across functional domains without unnecessarily impeding sales momentum.
- Act as the terminal bridge between GTM and Technical Accounting, ensuring contracted revenue is recognized predictably by routing executed contracts to FP&A for system preparation and RevRec determination.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or operations.
- 5-7 years of direct experience in Deal Desk operations, commercial contract management, or Sales Operations within a high-growth enterprise hardware or SaaS company.
- Excellent commercial instincts; ability to act collaboratively while maintaining the assertiveness required to enforce financial governance.
- Multi-stakeholder process management, counterparty diligence, commercial contract review, and payment term structuring.
- Proven ability to project-manage complex workflows, aligning divergent departmental interests under tight end-of-quarter deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience overseeing multi-stakeholder process management, commercial contract review, and counterparty diligence.
- Direct experience implementing and managing formal Deal Desk workflows within Salesforce (SFDC) or modern CPQ environments.
- Familiarity with quantum computing and a demonstrated interest and ability to learn technical concepts.
