
Director, Value Market Access Strategy & Marketing
Overview
Iovance seeks an experienced market access professional with demonstrated excellence in strategic planning, operational excellence, and cross-functional engagement. The Director, Value Market Access Strategy & Marketing, is responsible for supporting optimal patient access and reimbursement of Iovance’s marketed products. The candidate will be an integral member of the market access team responsible for developing payer resources, billing & coding guides and patient support in alignment with our value proposition. This role requires strong strategic market access comprehension, critical thinking skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and ideally cell/gene therapy experience within the Biotech/Pharma space.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Leads the development and execution of payer resources, reimbursement resources, end-to-end payer and channel marketing; provides resources to support the market access field team and pull through strategies.
- Understands total cost of care and all aspects of reimbursement (coding, coverage, and payment) for inpatient and outpatient settings across payer segments.
- Develops the value proposition resources and key messages aligned with Brand strategy.
- Supports the Payer Accounts team in strategic and tactical business planning for payers and hospitals, and partners with payers, key institutions, and health economic associations to ensure attainment of market access goals.
- Creates marketing materials to promote payer programs and responsible for PRC internal review process.
- Supports Market Access in internal meeting planning, deck/slide preparation.
- Manages Market Access dashboards, to include Payer Policy reports, Appeals, Trade Agreements, Patient Support in collaboration with Access Operations.
- Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as with US/global healthcare laws and regulations.
- Deliver clear, customer-focused and robust AMCP Dossiers in collaboration with US Health Economics Value Access (HEVA).
- Promote payer requirements and incorporate evidence needs into product development strategies and resources for pipeline assets in conjunction with HEVA.

- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Travel – 20%
Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- BA or BS degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in managed markets, payer marketing, account management, distributors, retail/specialty pharmacies and health economics.
- Collaborates with HEVA to conduct strategic and tactical planning of payer evidence (e.g., clinical trial design and analysis, economic modeling, evidence synthesis including indirect treatment comparisons) to support market access and reimbursement.
- Monitors healthcare legislative changes in partnership with Policy team and proactively modifies product reimbursement and market access plans to manage risks and opportunities.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization, with high expectations and accountability on the quality and timing of deliverable.
- Coordinates patient access-oriented tactics, such as patient literature, messaging, EMR refinements, etc. across applicable stakeholders.
- Market Access coordinator of all PRC required deliverables.
- Deep experience and strong understanding of building go-to-market strategies and value stories for launch products.
- Strong Excel modelling skills.
- Effective analytical/problem solving skills, including generation of original and innovative ideas and solutions.
- Action-oriented, customer-focused, with effective prioritization, goal setting and time management skills.
- Experience in the design of claims analysis and observational studies is desirable.
- Effective interpersonal skills; projection of professional image and credibility; teamwork oriented and inclusive.
- Ability to work cross-functionally within teams.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- A postgraduate degree such as an MBA preferred
- Experience in oncology and products launches preferred.
