
Regional Account Director
Iovance Biotherapeutics aims to be the global leader in innovating, developing and delivering tumor infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy for people with cancer. We are pioneering a transformational approach to treating cancer by harnessing the ability of the human immune system to recognize and attack diverse cancer cells in each patient. The Iovance TIL platform has demonstrated promising clinical data across multiple solid tumors. Overview
The Regional Account Director is a key position in the National Cell Therapy Account Team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales. Their primary responsibility is to develop and lead their region's Cell Therapy Account team. The individual must have extensive experience in oncology, both in hospital and community settings, as well as expertise in launching new products. Additionally, the RAD will work closely with the commercial leadership to ensure the successful product launch of Lifileucel by driving demand uptake and sustaining its growth. The individual should possess a high level of initiative and be willing to take a hands-on approach to ensure success.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Directs a high-performing regional Cell Therapy Account Managers (CTAMs) team. This team will be accountable for successfully executing the IOVANCE commercial strategy for Lifileucel in their region.
- Enable demand by identifying, evaluating, and assisting in qualifying potential Lifileucel Authorized Treatment Centers (ATC)
- Build relationships and trust with ATC key stakeholders.
- Educating ATCs on best practices around our products and services.
- Lead collaborations with regional cross-functional teams such as Market Access, Commercial Quality, Marketing, Business Analytics, Human Resources, Legal, and other Iovance partners to ensure efficient customer engagement, including ATC Pre-calling, Call Continuum, and post-call activities.
- Provide training, coaching, and development of the commercial field-based organization in all phases of their work, including career development.
- Maintain compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as with US/global healthcare laws and regulations.
- Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Travel
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- 12+ years Oncology/Biotechnology experience, 5+ years leading and managing teams.
- Experience and strong understanding of the community oncology practice landscape.
- Exemplary leadership skills and a proven track record of achieving goals and objectives.
- Possess excellent coaching, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to hire, lead, and commercially deliver in a complex therapeutic landscape.
- Demonstrated track record of retaining talent and career development of high-potential team members.
- Ability to lead a team in the academic hospital and community oncology markets while modeling the skill sets required to be successful.
- High clinical aptitude in the field of oncology and immunotherapy, as well as operational acumen in the academic hospital and community oncology setting.
- Demonstrates high-level knowledge and understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as oncology reimbursement and policy landscape.
- Experience managing and executing strategic planning, problem-solving, and conflict resolution in academic institutions and large community oncology practices.
- Experience in building positive team culture grounded in patient-centricity and organizational values.
- Proven track record of high performance and demonstrated ability and desire to provide unprecedented customer support across a broad group of stakeholders.
- BA or BS degree is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills skills.
- Ability to build consensus across multiple cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to successfully communicate and execute organizational goals and brand strategies.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- Launch experience in solid tumor markets preferred.
- Experience developing and building out service lines at academic hospitals is preferred.
- MBA or other related, graduate-level degree is preferred.

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is listed. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties/requirements, and relevant education, experience and skills.
Pay Transparency
$250,000 - $275,000 USD
