The key role of the CADD Engineer is to develop site civil drawings, shop drawings, and as-builts for use by the labor force to build contract work. The CADD Engineer will prepare as-built drawings which incorporate field changes and construction updates with the contract drawings. The Engineer will also be responsible for 3D BIM model coordination and interfacing. Knowledge of 3D modeling preferred.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Associates degree in CADD/Design, Engineering Design or Architectural/MEP Design required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the project staff to create various CADD drawings.
- Capture scanned environments and translate into usable data.
- Prepare title blocks for project wide use to owners required standard.
- Edit/Modify existing drawings.
- Prepare portions of a drawing for inclusion in the final drawing.
- Create drawings from hand sketches or re-lines provided by project team.
- Create As-built drawing.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE POSITION
- Minimum 5 years of experience with software such as Bentley Projectwise, Bentley Microstation, AutoCAD, OpenBuildings, InRoads and similar.
- BIM knowledge preferred.
- Must be capable of converting MicroStation V8I files to AutoCAD
- Ability to create drawings from scratch
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $125,000 USD
