DevOps Engineer

Core Responsibilities

CI/CD

• Design, implement, and maintain robust automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to accelerate secure software deployment.
• Utilize advanced PowerShell and Shell/Bash scripting for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational security automation.
• Cloud and Infrastructure Management
• Manage and optimize core Azure services for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency. (Familiarity with AWS is a plus.)
• Administer IIS web servers and configure/maintain Kestrel, Nginx, Traefik reverse proxies.

OS Management

• Administer and support both Linux and Windows operating environments.
• Containerization & Orchestration
• Manage the full lifecycle of containerized applications using Docker, ensuring security hardening best practices.
• Deploy, scale, and manage container workloads securely using Docker Swarm or Kubernetes.
• Security and Access Control
• Manage access control and security permissions using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Manage secure storage and retrieval of secrets, keys, and connection strings (e.g., using Azure Key Vault) and strictly enforce the non-use of hardcoded credentials.
• Implement and manage security protocols, including HTTPS/SSL, certificate management, WAF, and RBAC.
• Integrate code scanning and vulnerability checking into Pull Requests.

Quality

• Implement and automate various testing phases within the pipelines, including Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and Load Testing, to ensure code quality and system performance.
• Monitoring and Observability
• Configure and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, App Insights, Signoz, Datadog) to ensure high system observability and reliability.
• Required Technical Skills
• CI/CD & Tools: Expert in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and integrating security tools (code scanning, vulnerability checking).
• Cloud: Strong proficiency in Azure. AWS understanding is a plus.
• Containers: Solid expertise in Docker and Docker Swarm. Kubernetes is a plus.
• Scripting: Advanced skills in PowerShell and Shell/Bash.
• Security: Expertise in HTTPS/SSL, Certificate Management, WAF, and RBAC.
• Web: Experience with IIS, Traefik, Nginx
• Database: SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Monitoring: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, App Insights, Signoz, Datadog.
