Presentation Designer

Atlanta, GA; New York, NY

Purpose

You will be responsible for creating, crafting and producing compelling presentations across clients and New Biz. The ability to lean in on additional design asks is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of high-stakes presentations, including new business pitches, client presentations, and internal PowerPoints and Google Slides presentations
  • Translate complex strategic and creative ideas into clear, compelling visual narratives with strong pacing and flow
  • Partner closely with Creatives, Strategists, and Account teams to shape presentation storylines—not just execute them
  • Design and maintain premium presentation templates, master slides, and asset libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across the agency
  • Create bespoke visual assets (infographics, diagrams, mockups, iconography, and image compositions) to elevate storytelling
  • Translate complex concepts into easily digestible, beautiful visuals
  • Own the end-to-end presentation process, including version control, file management, and final delivery readiness
  • Lead or guide freelancers during high-pressure pitch cycles
  • Ensure all work meets a high standard of craft, including typography, layout, alignment, and visual consistency
  • Troubleshoot and prepare decks for live presentation environments (presenter notes, exports, AV readiness)
  • Assist on additional design asks when necessary and available

Competencies

  • Narrative Thinking: Ability to structure and refine story arcs, understanding pacing, hierarchy, and audience engagement
  • Creative Judgment: Knows when to simplify, when to amplify, and when to push for a stronger visual or conceptual approach
  • Collaboration: Works fluidly across disciplines and levels, contributing as a creative partner rather than a production resource
  • Ownership & Accountability: Takes full responsibility for the quality and delivery of presentation work, especially under tight deadlines
  • Composure Under Pressure: Maintains clarity, speed, and attention to detail in high-stakes, fast-paced environments
  • Attention to Detail: Obsessive about precision—alignment, spacing, resolution, and consistency
  • Adaptability: Comfortable shifting between different brands, tones, and presentation styles depending on the client or pitch

Professional Skills & Knowledge

  • Expert-level proficiency in PowerPoint and Google Slides (including master slides, templates, and advanced formatting)
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator required; After Effects a plus)
  • Deep understanding of design fundamentals: typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy
  • Ability to create data visualizations and translate complex information into clear, digestible graphics
  • Strong file organization and version control practices
  • Understanding of presentation environments, including screen formats, exports, and live presentation requirements

Experience

  • 4-5+ years of experience in a creative agency or equivalent high-performance environment
  • Proven track record of designing high-quality, client-facing presentations, especially for new business and pitch work
  • Portfolio demonstrating both system thinking (templates, consistency) and high-impact storytelling (hero slides, narrative flow)
  • Experience collaborating with senior creative and strategy stakeholders
  • Experience working under tight deadlines and managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior designers is a plus

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
