IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) Specialist. An ideal candidate is detail-oriented and technically proficient with a strong understanding of Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) and Joint Interoperability Certification (JIC) processes to support system integration and compliance for Department of Defense (DoD) programs for Utility Helicopter Program Office. The candidate will ensure systems meet operational requirements for interoperability across Army and joint environments, with an emphasis on rotary-wing aviation platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support efforts to obtain and maintain Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) and Joint Interoperability Certification (JIC) through JITC.
- Interpret and apply Department of Defense Instructions (DoDIs), Army Regulations (AR), and DISA/Joint Staff guidance related to interoperability.
- Prepare, coordinate, and submit required certification artifacts such as the Joint Interoperability Test Plan (JITP), Interoperability Test Certification Evaluation (ITCE), Capability Developer Test Plan, and Interoperability Assessment Reports.
- Interface with JITC, Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), and other stakeholders to facilitate certification testing and evaluations.
- Assess systems for compliance with Net-Ready Key Performance Parameters (NR-KPP) and mission thread requirements.
- Track and manage certification timelines and deliverables across the system development lifecycle.
- Support interoperability gap analysis and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Provide briefings and written reports on certification status to leadership and program stakeholders.
- Assist in the execution and management daily activities within 60M SIL and CABAIL
- Review project’s defined process, solicitation, and management plan(s) for conformance to the SIL testing process and provides feedback to the Project Leads
- Preform the analysis of software requirements to ensure bi-directional traceability and completeness.
- Support software sustainment activities.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of AIC and JIC processes, including required documentation, testing, and certification pathways.
- Familiar with contract documents, such as Statements of Work (SOWs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and Document Summary Lists (DSLs), Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Ability to demonstrate effective project management leadership of multi-disciplined Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
- Familiar with applicable interoperability standards, including DoDI 8330.01, CJCSI 6212.01 (series), and AR 25-1.
- Experience working with Army Capability Managers (ACMs), program managers, and test agencies.
- Knowledge of Army and Joint mission command systems, communications protocols, and interoperability test environments.
- Proficiency in systems engineering, test planning, and requirements traceability.
- Excellent organizational, writing, and briefing skills.
- Understanding of DO-178 design and development processes.
- FACE, HOST (or similar 'methods') understanding and/or experience
Education and Preferred Qualifications:
- S. Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred with 17+ years of experience in a related field
- Direct experience supporting Army aviation platforms, specifically the UH-60 Black Hawk and/or HH-60 variants, in an interoperability, integration, or test role.
- Prior experience coordinating with JITC, ATEC, or Army CIO/G-6.
- Software coding and development experience preferred
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Preferred active secret security clearance or must be able to obtain one. Per federal requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this level of clearance.
Travel: Must be able and willing to travel up to 10%
