You'll be joining an amazing team of professionals, focused on supporting and protecting the special event industry by leading the charge in finding solutions for hard-to-cover events. EventHelper.com writes 100s of policies every day but must turn away 50-200 per month because of event or vendor types that don’t fit within our pre-approved online program. You will work with our Customer Support team to follow-up with high-quality inbound leads with an opportunity to grow by developing outbound communication strategies. In this role you will work with strategic partners, Underwriting and our Customer Service team to ensure a smooth customer experience by finding the best insurance products for their needs.
We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team and perform the role by demonstrating our company values. The compensation structure for this role is base plus incentive. Based on your individual performance, the target compensation is $80K in your first year and north of $130K as a top performer in the first three years. This is an onsite position Monday-Friday working 8 hours a day between the hours of 6:30am – 5:00pm PST.
Position Responsibilities
- Analyze incoming leads to determine the best course of action using programs available at Event Helper or ISC
- Handle inbound calls and outbound calls with voicemail each day to and from prospects/customers who are seeking coverage, managing their policy, or requiring service assistance.
- Assess the event insurance needs such as general liability, workers comp or business auto and excess policies of each prospect and customer and recommend suitable products and services from our portfolio of carriers and markets.
- Develop a database of the best sources and solutions for different event or vendor types. Recommend growth opportunities. Problem-solve solutions to obstacles.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with prospects and customers by providing excellent service and follow-up throughout the sales process and beyond.
- Keep track of your sales activities and results and ensure that all information and documentation are complete and accurate.
- Collaborate with customer service representatives, partner relationship managers, underwriters, and managers to achieve team and company goals.
- Serve as the main interface to support and help grow our broker network. Recruit new brokers and drive policy sales through support, training and relationship management.
- Adapt to new and evolving technology as we improve our processes and workflows.
- Helps to ensure claim notifications are sent to the claims department.
- Resolves invoicing issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education degree (GED)minimum
- Minimum 2-3 years in the commercial insurance industry
- Property & Casualty License - Open to any state.
- Demonstrated understanding of commercial insurance lines
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Strong external communication with markets and internally with team members. Sense of urgency and availability for team communication is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, and aptitude to navigate software easily.
- Willing to work out of our Grass Valley, CA office Monday-Friday
Role Progression
At Event Helper Insurance Services we get thousands of leads every day, some of which we cannot cover with our traditional program. By utilizing our relationship with ISC Entertainment (Abacus) and ISC Wholesale, we are now able to monetize these events and get our clients the coverage they need. This is a new position for Event Helper Insurance Services, but with more than 15 years of experience and significant data this position could see significant growth with the right person.
The starting hourly pay scale for this position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, training, and experience. In addition, the company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with match, paid time off, and other benefits.
ISC's salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
National Pay Range
$20 - $20 USD
