Isomorphic Labs is applying frontier AI to help unlock deeper scientific insights, faster breakthroughs, and life-changing medicines with an ambition to solve all disease.
The future is coming. A future enabled and enriched by the incredible power of machine learning. A future in which diseases are curtailed or cured starting with better and faster drug discovery.
Come and be part of an interdisciplinary team driving groundbreaking innovation and play a meaningful role in contributing towards us achieving our ambitious goals, while being a part of an inspiring and collaborative culture.
The world we want tomorrow is the one we’re building today. It starts with the culture at this company. It starts with you.
About Iso
Isomorphic Labs (IsoLabs) was launched in 2021 to advance human health by building on and beyond the Nobel-winning AlphaFold system. Since then, our interdisciplinary team of drug discovery experts and machine learning specialists has built powerful new predictive and generative AI models that accelerate scientific discovery at digital speed.
Our name comes from the belief that there is an underlying symmetry between biology and information science. By harnessing AI’s powerful capabilities, we can use it to model complex biological phenomena to help design novel molecules, anticipate how drugs will perform and develop innovative medicines to treat and cure some of the world’s most devastating diseases.
We have built a world-leading drug design engine comprising AI models that are capable of working across multiple therapeutic areas and drug modalities. We are continually innovating on model architecture and developing cutting-edge capabilities to advance rational drug design.
Every day, and with each new breakthrough, we’re getting closer to the promise of digital biology, and achieving our ambitious mission to one day solve all disease with the help of AI.
Your impact
This role provides an extraordinary opportunity to join an Alphabet company that will reimagine drug discovery and clinical development through a computational and AI-first approach.
We are currently at a pivotal stage of building out our Clinical Development capabilities as we move towards entering the clinic and, as a result, we are keen to hire a highly experienced Strategic Operating Partner, to play a significant role in building this team from the ground up, embodying an inspiring, collaborative and entrepreneurial culture and driving forward groundbreaking innovations.
You’ll be working at the cutting edge of the new era of ‘digital biology’ and advancing a new type of biotech that will deliver transformative social impact for the benefit of millions of people.
As Strategic Operating Partner you will serve as a force multiplier for our clinical development function, acting as a strategic thought partner and operational builder. You’ll work directly with our Chief Medical Officer and leadership, to translate the strategic 'what’ and ‘why’ into a clear, high-speed, operational “how”, ensuring a commitment to operational excellence and our core company mission.
This is a dynamic role for an agile, highly-organised operator with exceptional communication and facilitation skills who can work effectively with all partners and stakeholders to define, innovate and successfully deliver clinical outcomes.
What you will do
Build the Clinical Development function at Iso:
- You’ll work in close partnership with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to define the strategic foundation and operational cadence required for this function, enabling us to advance the speed and probability of success of preclinical/clinical development using AI/technology
- You will design and implement critical workflows and processes, building relationships with key stakeholders in London and Lausanne to ensure alignment with Iso’s overall company strategy
- Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the technical and operational aspects of clinical development from IND to POC to registration, and expertise in clinical programs and operations.
Drive impact:
- You’ll work with the CMO to deliver and operationalise their highest-priority strategic initiatives, continually assessing the most critical priorities. This will require leveraging strong influencing skills to navigate cross-organisational challenges, connecting people, ideas, and thinking to drive a joined-up approach
- As both a doer and a thought partner, you will proactively spot and break down blockers, following up and closing loops to drive initiatives to completion
- You’ll anticipate risks, propose solutions, and gain agreement from leadership, knowing when to resurface paused initiatives and develop a plan to make them happen.
Skills and qualifications
If you are looking for a career defining role and are ready to commit to this long term mission, this could be your chance to be part of something extraordinary; the opportunity to make a real difference.
Essential:
- A scientific educational background and experience working in biotech and/or pharma.
- Clinical Development domain expertise including: experience in clinical trials from IND/phase 1 to POC to registration, clinical operations and/or program management; hybrid trial outsourcing; and CRO oversight.
- Experience in oncology and inflammation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate information for different audiences as appropriate, from Exec-level through to wider organisation
- Experience partnering with senior leaders in fast-paced and constantly changing environments, acting as a sounding board on important projects, initiatives and decisions and as individuals go through the change cycle.
- You are technically fluent and approach problems with intellectual curiosity, capable of rapidly engaging, synthesising, and translating complex technical or AI-driven initiatives to ensure cross-organisational understanding and adoption
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy environments where you can implement creative and innovative ideas and solutions which drive organisational performance. You can adapt to the needs of the organisation and are highly resilient.
- You are experienced in breaking complexity down to make tangible, positive progress across the organisation by prioritising, planning and executing with clarity and pace.
- You are able to act and communicate with confidence in a high performance culture, instilling trust in everyone you interact with, delivering well thought through solutions.
- You demonstrate a curious attitude and role model commitment to learning and understanding more about work across the whole organisation to enhance the impact of you and others.
- You’re highly organised, resourceful and have proven experience managing your own work and projects.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge and experience in utilising coaching techniques to support individuals from diverse backgrounds in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of AI
- Advanced degree PhD, Pharm D, etc

Hybrid working
It’s hugely important for us to share knowledge and build strong relationships with each other, and we find it easier to do this if we spend time together in person. This is why we follow a hybrid model, and would require you to be able to come into the office 3 days a week (currently Tuesday, Wednesday, and one other day depending on which team you’re in). If you have additional needs that would prevent you from following this hybrid approach, we’d be happy to talk through these if you’re selected for an initial screening call.
