I Squared Capital Global InfraTech Fund – Summer VC Associate Application

About I Squared Capital

I Squared Capital is a global infrastructure investment firm focused on investing in power & utilities, energy transition, transportation & logistics, digital infrastructure, social infrastructure and environmental infrastructure with over $40 billion of AUM across private equity, credit and venture capital. The InfraTech venture capital fund is a $150 million fund investing in growth-stage companies at the confluence of infrastructure and technology with a focus on four key themes: energy transition & electrification, modern supply chains, digitalization of infrastructure and critical infrastructure protection. The InfraTech fund makes $5-10 million investments into Series A+ companies within our core themes and has made 16 investments to date. The ISQ InfraTech team is led by Peter Corsell (clean tech innovator and founder of Gridpoint) and Kevin Crull (previously a telecom executive at Bell Media, Sprint and many others) and is supported by five additional team members.

The Role

ISQ InfraTech is looking to bring on an MBA intern for the summer to be involved in all activities of the fund including deal sourcing, diligence on active deals and investment thesis creation. The intern will complete a summer project to create an investment thesis in a sector of their choosing (that is relevant to InfraTech). ISQ InfraTech is a small, close-knit team of seven, so the intern will be a core member of the team and will work closely with all team members. Tasks will include, but are not limited to: industry research, thesis development, outreach to potential targets, due diligence of investment opportunities, financial modeling, outreach to target companies and investors, and authoring blog posts. The final deliverable will be an investment thesis deck to be presented to the full team at the end of the engagement. This role will provide exposure to all aspects of venture investing, diligence and thesis development.

The position will be paid and length of engagement is open to discussion but for a minimum of 2 months. The role will be fulltime in-person in Miami and a moving stipend will be offered.

About You

You are passionate about venture investing and combatting climate change through investing. You are intellectually curious and enjoy doing deep research. You are self-motivated and self-directed. You are collaborative, friendly, and a team player. Previous experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, PE or VC is preferred but not required.

Deadline to apply is Saturday, February 9, 2025.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
