About the Role

As Enterprise Data and Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and support of scalable, enterprise-level data products. You will collaborate across business functions to deliver intuitive, impactful data solutions and visualizations that empower teams to make data-driven decisions. This role is deeply involved in advancing our data infrastructure and reporting strategy, with a strong emphasis on user enablement and scalable architecture.

Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements for data analytics and visualization needs across the organization.
  • Design and implement Tableau dashboards and data models that translate complex data into user-friendly, actionable insights.
  • Ensure secure and appropriate access to data through strong data governance and access control policies.
  • Support business users by delivering ad hoc reporting solutions and training on self-service data tools and platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT, Data Engineering, and business stakeholders to identify scalable, sustainable reporting solutions as data volume and organizational needs grow.
  • Coordinate with cloud service providers and implementation vendors to support enterprise analytics infrastructure.
  • Support proper data visualization usage across teams, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to best practices.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of reporting strategies, standards, and data workflows.

Factors for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture and analytics engineering, preferably within biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing modern data analytics platforms and BI tools.
  • Expertise in Tableau, including advanced calculations, dashboard design, and performance optimization. Tableau certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency with SQL and cloud-based databases, including Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with integrating dimensional data models and creating highly usable data layers for business users.
  • Experience working with data across clinical, commercial, finance, and supply chain domains.
  • Exposure to AI/ML technologies or their application in analytics is a plus.
  • Understanding of data security and privacy standards, including compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills; able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with agile development and project management methodologies.

The expected base pay range for this position is $131,200 - $183,800 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
