About the Role
The Associate Director, Market Intelligence & Strategy is responsible for providing Tarsus leadership and teams with a clear, integrated view of the market and competitive landscape for our in-line, pipeline, and prospective assets. By combining primary market research, secondary data, and AI-driven analytics, this role delivers actionable insights that inform commercial portfolio and pipeline strategy.
Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:
- Lead enterprise-wide market and landscape intelligence, synthesizing primary research, secondary data, and AI-driven insights to drive strategic decision-making
- Monitor third party catalysts across the landscape, including (but not limited to) press releases, financial releases including SEC filings, earnings calls, corporate presentations and webcasts, third party clinical trials, regulatory updates (approvals/CRLs and other actions), patents, publications, human resources activities, conference activities, and media (including social media) activity
- Provide proactive, scenario-driven strategic input for both in-line products and future pipeline or business development decisions
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics to identify trends, assess landscape risks, and anticipate market shifts
- Drive primary market research (qualitative and quantitative) to deeply understand customer behavior and accelerate XDEMVY performance
- Design and implement the company's centralized market intelligence processes, governance, and cross-functional communication flows
- Partner with and align cross-functional teams including, e.g., Commercial, IR, R&D, HR, Innovation, and Business Development teams around shared insights and coordinated responses to market dynamics
Factors for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Business, or related field with 12 years of related experience; or MBA or advanced degree (preferred) with 10 years of related experience
- Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry preferred
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-enabled analytics to generate actionable market, landscape, and strategic insights
- Experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, claims data) and data visualization tools like PowerBI/Tableau preferred
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable deliverables (e.g., reports, dashboards, presentations, etc.), tailored for broad organizational use, including senior leadership
- Ability to prepare and communicate high impact presentations to executive leadership
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple priorities

- Some travel may be required – up to 25%
At Tarsus, we understand the importance of attracting and retaining top talent. The expected base pay range for this position is $165,000 - $231,000 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
