The role is 100% remote. This is a W2 opportunity with itD and contracted at a Fortune 500 client in Silicon Valley. The individual selected will be instrumental in helping us continue to deliver excellence to our base of leading global accounts.
 
You will also interact closely with itD's Communities of Practice (CoP), expand your network, and grow your career. This is a unique chance to meet others who think differently and are passionate about challenging the status quo!
 
Internal Responsibilities
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.

From the Client Sponsor Team: 
Looking for candidates with more direct PMM experience, ideally paired with exposure to large enterprise go-to-market (GTM) environments. I’m still open to folks coming from technical or product management backgrounds, but ability to demonstrate PMM depth will be key. It’s also important that candidates can blend creative and strategic thinking with strong marketing execution. As nice-to-haves, signals like management consulting experience, entrepreneurial backgrounds, or combinations such as MBA + engineering background can be helpful.
 
Things that would make me lean in: technical undergrad, tenure at top brand esp in hi-tech, prior work as engineer/developer, Strongish undergrad institution, has MBA, was PM, was Sales Engineer, was in sales for large B2B tech firm but now PMM.
 
Product Marketing Manager to develop compelling campaign and thought leadership content to support Campus Wireless solutions. As a part of the Networking Product Marketing team, youll help shape our product messaging, positioning, and content, working closely with product, sales, and customer teams to amplify our story in the market.
 
What you'll do:
  • Supporting Wireless messaging and positioning development, driving NPI and run-the-business PMM content
  • Switching in IT and computer networking is the transfer of data packets, or blocks of data, through a wireless network. Wireless transfer data from source ports on devices such as computers to destination ports on devices such as routers.
  • Develop deep expertise with Campus networking technology, spanning a portfolio of hardware, software, and AI technology.
  • Collaborate across Product and go-to-market (GTM) teams to develop comprehensive positioning and messaging focused on customer outcomes first
  • Create compelling product content and technical thought leadership to engage with the largest enterprise customers in the world and a wide range of audiences, from executive to technical practitioners
  • Deliver compelling and concise demos of key product capabilities and use cases, live and recorded
  • Lead website content creation that accelerates customer understanding, interest, and purchase intent for wireless solutions
  • Analyze quantitative product, pipeline, and market data to guide content development

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 4+ years of Product Marketing in high tech Enterprise
    • Open to "early career", but must be in Enterprise tech industry
  • Prior engineer/developrer experience
  • 4+ years of Networking experience 
  • GTM strategy, planning, execution (end-to-end)
  • Critical, independent thinker and proactive mindset to resolution and completion

Key skills for the role:
  • Core messaging and positioning. Working across products and solutions to identify and evangelize unique, compelling, and differentiated customer value propositions
  • Collaboration across the BU: Working with and pushing back against product, engineering, and support to create simple, unified messages for customers
  • Content creation. Working across written, presentation, and digital media to create compelling sales enablement and customer-facing content that requires minimal design support
  • Writing skills. Top 10% writing skills. Ability to construct, draft, copyedit, and publish high-quality written content (blogs, position papers, abstracts) for a wide array of audiences (technical, executive, practitioner, business, etc)
  • Thought leadership. Ability to synthesize complex technical topics and market dynamics and develop novel points of view that can reinforce the Meraki and Cisco brand leadership. Demonstrated track record of effective published thought leadership in their name. 
  • Competitive enablement or programs. Experience building competitive sales enablement and marketing content for a technical product
  • Working directly with creative teams (web, video, graphic design) to deliver final assets
  • Pipeline measurement and analysis (SFDC, Tableau, etc.)
Baseline requirements for all PMM
  • Worked in growth / high-growth tech
  • Partnered with an enterprise or partner/channel sales motion
  • Customer-facing skills (written, presentation, discovery)
  • Public speaking / webinar skills. Strong presenter, comfortable with an audience. 
  • Clear storyteller, customer-focused

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • A breast of tech product market trends
  • Previous tech experience: Cisco, Meta, Google, Apple, Microsoft
