Business Analyst

itD is seeking a Business Analyst to drive demand forecasting and performance insights for cutting-edge VR headsets and wearable products within Reality Labs. This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven production, sales, and go-to-market decisions by delivering accurate forecasts and actionable business insights. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in demand planning, analytics, and business strategy, along with a proven track record of delivering high-impact forecasting models and performance reporting.

Location: Hybrid preferred (3 days onsite in Burlingame, CA); Remote candidates in PST timezone will be considered.

Pay Rate: $41.14- $46.45 per hour, depending on experience

Duration:12+Months

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain bottom-up sell-through and sell-in forecasts using quantitative and qualitative datasets
  • Analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance across VR headsets and wearable product lines
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and channel operations teams to align forecasts with business strategies and identify growth opportunities
  • Evaluate actual performance versus forecasts, identify root causes of variances, and recommend corrective actions
  • Build and present forecasting insights, assumptions, and business impact analyses to senior stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement of forecasting methodologies by analyzing trends, correlations, and large datasets
  • Support production planning and product launch decisions through close collaboration with cross-functional teams

Internal Responsibilities

  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material)
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual)
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in business strategy, analytics, finance, or sales planning
  • 2+ years of experience in demand forecasting for hardware or consumer products
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and presentation tools
  • Strong experience building and maintaining forecasting models
  • Proven ability to analyze large datasets and translate insights into business decisions
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and presenting to leadership

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience working with physical consumer goods or hardware products
  • Familiarity with forecasting or supply chain planning systems (e.g., O9 or similar tools)
  • Ability to independently manage deliverables in a fast-paced environment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience required.
