What You Will Do

Responsible for building, training, strategizing, and leading a remote team of Direct Account Executives and Channel Account Managers. Responsible for managing relationships and growing medium to large accounts along with their team and ideally bringing with them a book of business.  The position requires identifying specific segments and industry verticals to approach and sell iTel products. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of the Canadian telecom landscape, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. 

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team through regular coaching, performance reviews, and collaborative strategy development.
  • Drive team success by fostering a culture of accountability, setting clear targets, and actively contributing to the achievement of individual and team quotas.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to shorten the sales cycle and optimize team performance through effective KPI management.
  • Cultivate top talent by actively participating in the recruitment and onboarding of new Account Executives and Channel Managers.
  • Empower the team with knowledge by providing ongoing training on iTel's products, services, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement data-driven sales strategies that promote account growth and increase revenue within medium to large accounts.
  • Spearhead sales efforts by actively participating in sales calls, presentations, and client meetings, providing guidance and support to the team in closing deals and maximizing cross-selling/upselling opportunities.
  • Maintain a robust departmental sales pipeline with accurate forecasting, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product development, and operations) to align activities and drive optimal sales outcomes.
  • Deliver compelling business reviews to iTel management, providing insightful analysis of team performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations.
  • Represent iTel at industry events and conferences - with Travel as required.
  • Utilize, optimize, and develop tracking and monitoring systems to ensure clean reporting of all team and individual performance
  • Develop, implement, and leverage tracking and monitoring systems to maintain accurate reports on individual and team performance.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of the latest sales trends and innovative techniques to help the team utilize the most modern techniques in sales activity.


Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field plus five years’ recent, sales leadership experience. Sales experience in the telecommunications industry is an asset.  A combination of education, skills, and experience may be considered.

  • Must be able to travel
