Itero Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead large, complex IT initiatives within a hybrid agile delivery environment. This role is responsible for end-to-end project execution, stakeholder management, agile delivery leadership, and ensuring alignment to enterprise project management and SDLC standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, communication, and agile expertise to drive successful outcomes across cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor project execution to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards.

  • Own relationships and expectations with Product Owners, Stakeholders, and Senior Management throughout the full project lifecycle.

  • Lead ongoing strategic discussions with Product Owners and team members to align product vision and backlog priorities.

  • Develop and maintain project control documentation in accordance with enterprise project management methodologies.

  • Create and manage high-level and detailed project and sprint plans using project scheduling tools.

  • Lead project and sprint planning activities, including identification of epics, features, user stories, tasks, milestones, dependencies, schedules, and resource assignments.

  • Provide leadership and motivation to project teams to ensure accountability, milestone achievement, and adherence to the Delivery Center’s hybrid agile framework.

  • Prepare and deliver formal project status reporting, including health dashboards, metrics, and management updates.

  • Communicate project progress, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies regularly to sponsors, stakeholders, and executive leadership.

  • Monitor project quality, scope, schedule, and budget, proactively addressing risks and issues as they arise.

  • Facilitate risk and issue management by promoting transparency and timely communication.

  • Manage deliverable and artifact approval processes, tracking approvals and ensuring timely decision-making.

  • Coordinate closely with Product Owners when decisions impact project scope, quality, timeline, or budget.

  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure consistent execution of Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives).

  • Partner with Agency Business Relationship Managers, executive staff, and Delivery Center leadership to support project success.

  • Apply agile best practices (Scrum and Kanban) to support and coach agile teams.

  • Serve as Scrum Master, coaching teams on agile frameworks and holding teams accountable for delivery commitments.

  • Influence and lead organizational change to strengthen agile maturity across teams.

  • Ensure accuracy and upkeep of project health, status, scope, budget, and timekeeping data.

  • Deliver project reports, presentations, and briefings to all levels of management.

  • Ensure compliance with SDLC policies, procedures, and governance standards.

  • Direct, coordinate, and track Delivery Center staff activities related to assigned projects.


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of full-time project management experience supporting large, complex IT projects.

  • 3+ years of experience working on a Scrum team.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP and/or Scrum Master certification.

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing agile project management methodologies.

  • 2+ years of experience using Azure DevOps for project and delivery tracking.
