POSITION SUMMARY

At a point of major inflection and scale, ITS is looking for a Manager, Business Intelligence (BI) to lead a team of BI engineers and analysts to deliver key business insights. Play a pivotal role in shaping our analytics ecosystem, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, and ensuring seamless access to actionable insights. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Team Leadership: Direct and nurture a team of business intelligence engineers and analysts, fostering growth and collaboration

- Business Partnership: Drive collaboration with business leaders and end users to develop BI reporting that enhances strategic and operational decision-making

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across business operations, product, engineering, QA, data, and machine learning to drive impactful, sustainable business outcomes and deliver actionable BI reports

- Reporting Operations: Manage daily report schedules and promptly address reporting and data issues. Ensure timely responses to business inquiries and guarantee report availability in alignment with defined SLAs.

- Communication: Communicates effectively with team members, actively participates and/or leads discussions and drives clarification when needed. Presents technical concepts and builds consensus.

- Management / Leadership : Builds and maintains the project plans and manages for project success in an organized manner. Proactively identify risks, and conflicts; resolves conflict involving project team or stakeholder.

- Decision-Making and Effectiveness : Makes / Supports / Challenges decisions as appropriate within the scope of the assigned tasks or project, balancing technical, business, and industry considerations.

- Business Knowledge : Thorough understanding of the business domain. Align team's goals with broader business objectives, deliver business results and drive impact.

- Technical Proficiency : Designs technical solutions, guide teams on technical aspects, provide solutions to complex problems, be hands-on, and make informed technical decisions.

- Prioritization: Consistently demonstrates competency in planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational or project goals

- Teamwork: Exemplifies teamwork and is viewed as a leader on the team in promoting collaboration and inclusion

- Stay at the Forefront of BI & Technology by adopting the latest innovations, optimizing best practices, and enhancing data-driven decision-making through analytics and automation.

- Strong knowledge in data warehousing, ETL Processes, experience in data modeling, and data quality management

- A willingness to become intimately familiar with our business model and processes to influence the strategy and direction of line of business.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science BSCIS/BSCS/ BSCE or relevant experience.

- Experience: 10+ years in business intelligence, data product management, with 6+ years in people management

- Leadership: Proven success working with business partners and leading a team of BI engineers / analysts. Has a deep self-awareness around behaviors and triggers.

- Communication: Proven experience in translating complex data concepts into actionable clarity for non-technical executive audiences

- Project Management: Proficient in end-to-end project coordination, including strategic roadmap planning, sprint execution, Scrum facilitation, user story management, report QA, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. Drive project to successful completion.

- Technical Skills : 7+ years of experience in PowerBI, Data Visualization, Advanced SQL, any cloud databases Databricks/ Snowflake / Redshift. Strong Experience in semantic models, data sets, reports template, reports development, self-service analytics in PowerBI

- 3-5 years of experience in transforming raw data into insights using python, statistical methods and Story Telling

- 1-3 years of experience in building dashboards for executives

- Experience in creation of reporting strategy, and BI reporting architecture

- People management experience, Career planning involve 5 to 7 BI engineers / BI analysts.

- Experience in Logistics – Freight Brokerage, and Softeon Warehouse Management System is a plus

- Develop reusable reports and dashboards that become the "sources of truth"

- Maintain high standards of data quality, ensure consistency across sources, and promote seamless accessibility for business users

- Accelerate Reporting & Dashboard Execution by fine-tuning semantic layers, optimizing metadata structures, and refining development processes for peak efficiency.

- Design and Implement Robust BI Architectures by applying advanced dimensional modeling techniques to structure data effectively for optimized reporting and analysis

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in requirements gathering methodologies and processes.

- Excellent communications skills, especially with end users and leadership.

- Experienced working in a collaborative environment.

- Excellent judgment skills (e.g., when to escalate technical problems and issues).

- Ability to absorb and retain complex technical information quickly.

- Strong diligence.

- Demonstrated analytical, critical, and problem-solving skills.
