Position: Senior UI Artist 
Location: Remote Working Arrangement

Jackalope Games is searching for a UI Artist to join our team. Work directly with a core group of dedicated and experienced developers to establish a new studio and new project.
As a UI Artist, you will primarily be creating visually appealing and thoughtfully crafted UI interfaces that support the visual target. Must have a strong sense of timing for animating UI elements. Work directly with a core group of dedicated and experienced developers to establish a new studio and new project! Be hands on from day one, helping guide this new studio with your creative expertise.

Responsibilities:
•    Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (design, art, animation, etc.) to ensure consistency to achieve quality in all UI elements.
•    Actively participate in the creation and implementation of design systems, game menus, HUD elements, Iconography, UI materials and shaders, UI animation and motion design.
•    Work with wireframes and layouts to craft thematic visuals for UI that complements the UX structure.
•    Work through and help improve UI art pipelines to enhance development and transparency for the studio.
•    Collaborate with other UX/UI artists to ensure effective communication for best results.

Skill Requirements:
•    3+ years of experience designing and implementing in-game UI.
•    Experience working in Agile environments and on multi-disciplinary teams.
•    A portfolio showcasing work samples demonstrating unique and original designs
•    Strong understanding of Graphic Design, typography, as well as layout, color, and iconography
•    Skilled with Figma, Adobe Suite, or other comparable design software.
•    Experience implementing AAA quality UI Art in Unreal Engine or other comparable game engines.
•    Ability to work with specific Art Direction and established styles guides to create cohesive, on-brand visual designs

Nice-to Have:
•    Experience with Unreal Engine and Unreal Motion Graphics.
•    Experience with building shaders and materials in Unreal Engine or comparable game engines.
•    Portfolio demonstrating a keen eye for Motion Design and animation.
•    Portfolio showing your diverse artistic skillset, and ability for cohesion.
•    Experience in creating 3d game assets in software packages like 3ds Max and/or Maya.
•    Passionate about user experience and accessibility.
