Summary:

The Senior Event Manager at Impact XM is responsible for planning and executing high-profile meetings and events in the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industries. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven expertise in managing complex pharmaceutical events, such as congresses and advisory boards. The Senior Event Manager will lead event coordination, client management, operational delivery, and team mentorship to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute complex events from conception to completion, ensuring high standards and adherence to timelines.
  • Mentor and guide a team of event planners and supervisors, fostering professional development and adherence to company processes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting the Account Lead in strategy implementation and client communications.
  • Lead project management, including setting objectives, timelines, and managing risks to ensure project success.
  • Develop strategic supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and manage all third-party contracts and communications.
  • Oversee onsite event management, ensuring effective communication, risk assessment, and timely problem-solving.
  • Maintain compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, codes of conduct, and client privacy protocols.
  • Manage budget reconciliation and financial tracking, ensuring accurate quotes, savings documentation, and invoice management.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports, conducting regular one-on-one meetings and overseeing personal development plans.
  • Collaborate with peers and teams to ensure effective delivery of client projects and attend required company training and meetings.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in managing pharmaceutical events, including congresses, investigator meetings, and advisory boards.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes of conduct, such as PhRMA Code in the U.S. and EFPIA Code in Europe.
  • Understanding of anti-bribery laws and healthcare compliance programs.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to manage complex budgets, financial tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple accounts and manage various projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Cvent or similar event management software.
